Darts world championship
Who would of thought both Taylor and Barney would be knocked out in the quarters?.Hopefully John Part will go on to win,but both Mardle and Painter are looking good.

Am very pleased for John Part. Makes a change from the usual players boring us to tears year after year. I'm hoping to get see some of the premier league matches this year. Should be fun!

Yep,i was cheering for Part,a worthy champ.I think it's a start of a new era for darts with all the youngsters comming thorough. And it looks like Taylor will struggle to win any more world titles.

In keeping with Zoggy's idea of recycling perfectly good threads, I am bumping this one to report that Aussie Simon Whitlock (broken ankle and all) romped through his Quarter Final v 4th seed Gary Anderson 5-1, to move into the semis.

Good luck to the Wizard, but the broken ankle is being done to death. It's not like he has to run on it. Or indeed walk far...

Said he has to play slow - meaning I guess he limps slowly to retrieve his darts.
