Pidge and the Prince in the Hall of Fame
Hard to argue with either of those...

Actually looking at this "Hall of Fame" it's a bit of a joke. McGrath is the 71st inductee. The list is dominated by England, Aus and WI.
SA, NZ, India, and Pak have 10 inductees combined.

Maybe they should produce better cricketers then.

Better than the likes of Graveney or Gooch?
You would think that the likes of Andy Flower should get a look in.

Yeah that list could have a few more from outside the Eng/ Aus/ WI groups.
But the thought keeps me warm on these cold and dark times that Ravindra Jadeja is sure to get in any moment now.

In fairness, Aus and Eng have been playing cricket longer than everyone else, and have played more matches, had more players ... it is not surprisinging they should have a big slice of the outstanding players over the whole history of the game.
Not sure who Warney has to shag to get in, though.

I don't know, but he'll get there eventually.
And to the induction thing, as well.

Well done Pidgey. And to the Punce as well, I guess.

I would expect there to be more English and Aussie players but not to this extent. (SA only started 12 years later, and I appreciate the isolation years come into it)
But your reasoning does not explain why there are far more English than Aussies given that Aus has had the upper hand over the Ashes, and why there is only one more Aussie than West Indian.
I would guess that Warne isn't selected as he is still playing.

Come on Taips. It's an ICC hall of fame. Of course it's going to be completely shambolic.

County cricket (and other first class cricket) are clearly an element of selection hence Barry Richards being there.
And of the Indians, they've really only been strong over the last decade or so. You would expect Dravid and SRT to get in as soon as they are eligible. Maybe Viru as well. Hard to see who should be in there that isn't though. Maybe one of the Vijays or Mankad.
As for Saf, you'd expect AD to be in pretty soon. Jackie obviously when eligible. Sean Pollock too. I'd like to see Faulkner there as well.

If CC was taken into consideration you would think Procter would get a look in.
In addition to Faulkner, I would also suggest that Nourse, Mitchell, Waite and Adcock are worthy of consideration.

As has been mentioned, there's no Shane Warne. Would this be something to do with his drug suspension?

Probably the fact he is still playing. Ditto MM.

Re: Pidge and the Prince in the Hall of Fame
When the list was made in 2009 presumably some of the likes of Warne, Lara, Pidge, Pollock, Waqar maybe even AD etc were too recently retired to make the initial intake. Now they can only make 3 new inductees a year so clearly not everyone deserving can get it.
As for Vengasarkar and Vishy - not sure who would make way for them.

Why do they need to replace anyone? Why not just add them? Is there a stipulation as to how many can be added at once?

4 per year actually and it appears one spot a year is reserved for a woman.

Oh dear.
Re: Pidge and the Prince in the Hall of Fame
Interesting that Steve Waugh would get in but Warney wouldn't. Is this a case of not wanting to ruffle Lankan feathers? They don't want to admit clear cheat Chuck Muritharan, but if they admit Warney they'd have no choice. Shane K. Warne is the biggest lay down misere for a HoF spot ever.
