Fark it!!! First significant rain we've had since before Christmas & it had to come this weekend.
Players are back out but its very gloomy & still some rain about. More rain forcast tomorrow so a draw is the most likely outcome unless both captains get creative.

Stoopid Banjos have lost 3 wickets and are still 21 behind. Handing this to the Sandies on a plate.
Wow, the Sandies, who have been woeful for much of the season, look like coming from the clouds to host a Shield Final.
Either the country is full of genius bowlers, or our FC batsmen simply have no application these days.

Tas 70/0.
I continue to be impressed by young Silk. Only playing his second Shield game & handling Hastings & Ahmed like a seasoned pro. Very impressive for a 20 y.o.

lead of 102 ...
Tassie will definitely need to risk losing this game if it is to have any chance of winning it

50 to Cossie. Raining at my place again which means another rainband is headed towards Bellerive.
Re: Australian Domestic Season 2012/13 (III)
FFS!! Cossie goes for cow corner & misses. Bowled Ahmed.
Re: Australian Domestic Season 2012/13 (III)
Despite protests from the batsmen the qunts of umpires, as they did yesterday, unnecessarily take players off the field.
Re: Australian Domestic Season 2012/13 (III)
Assuming no rain tomorrow, maybe leave Victoria 60 overs to get 260?

And a career launching double ton from Joe Burns will be handy too.

That would make a good challenge but as i speak, another rainband is passing overhead & headed to Bellerive, just as the players come back on.
Re: Australian Domestic Season 2012/13 (III)
Tas 137/1. Umpires take the players off again & that looks like all for today. Silk stayed out to try to influence the umpires to stay out (you gotta like this young gun)
but to no avail.
but to no avail.
Re: Australian Domestic Season 2012/13 (III)
I guess it might get down to how much the other 4 sides hate the Spivs tomorrow.

Tassie to slog for a session, or 15 mins shy, then hope they can bowl Victoria out in two.

Probable but can't see us bowling them out in under a day. Most likely, Tassie will declare short of a defendable total & lose or Tassie will bat on & the game will be a draw. In any senario, i can't see us winning this one.
