Re: Australian Domestic Season 2012/13 (III)
Assuming...
1. Paris gets the Sandies home for 1st innings but the Day1 loss means a draw;
2. There's not enough time for an outright in Hobart;
3. Spivs get the 91 needed for outright;
Then:
Shield Table:
Spivs 29
Vomits 28
Sandies 28
Tozzies 26
Barrels 26
Banjos 24
Spivs would get a home Final v Vomits!!!!

Re: Australian Domestic Season 2012/13 (III)
Shirley the Vomits wouldn't be sporting in an attempt to get an outright for a home Final when they are already in the Final?? I guess the Tozzies will go the bash and look to give themselves the best part of a day to bowl the Vomits out for a Home Final.
That would mean a Toz v Spiv Final in Hobart.

Re: Australian Domestic Season 2012/13 (III)
Re Assumption 1
At the end of day two the match is about to be decided on First innings ...about the normal position for a game to be in ....both the wozzies and Banjos want an outright
very unlikely
Re Assumption two
Both teams want an outright
very unlikely
Re Assumption three
Strong spivs batting line up vs Piss weak sozzies ...will get the runs with 10 wickets to spare ...may as well call the game off now
Very likely

Re: Australian Domestic Season 2012/13 (III)
Started to analyse scenarios, but there's so many. From a Spiv perspective, continued rain in Hobart would be grouse, to take the Tozzies out.
Assuming Paris gets the Sandies home, then a quick additional 100 or so would put them in the box seat.
That could mean a Sandy Home Final v Spivs. Or if the Banjos are in a hopeless position and are bloody-minded, they could grind out a draw to prevent Sandies getting to the Final.

Re: Australian Domestic Season 2012/13 (III)
We need it to piss down in Hobart for the next 2 days. That will ensure that the Dubbers make the final. After that it is about who wins outright in Perth will host the final.
Skull, it's only the start of day 3 in Perth and with no one on either side other than Paris who knows how to actually hold a bat, an outright is certain.

More wickets for Rhino too. He looks to be getting himself right for an Ashes spot. Wouldn't be room for Milf in that case you'd think.

Well, the Spivs have done all they can. In simple terms, if the weather farks things in Hobart, then the Spivs have a Final spot.

Good news for Aus. Now if we could find some batsmen. This M.Hussey fellow, is he available? He looks talented.JGK wrote:Michelle for Rhino.
