I haven't changed my team since we started. The problem was that Cech, Micah, Arteta and Van Persie have all been injured for long periods (Van Persie practically all season), Kanu and Malouda haven't played much and Torres keeps getting rested. That's why I'm in last.

Good odds that English sides will make up half of the CL quarter finalists.

Which is funny, as the Premier League is of pretty low quality outside of five - six at the most - clubs.

It's got nothing to do with Olympiakos not travelling well. It's just because Chelsea are 10 times better than them, in every department.

And yet Bolton have beaten Red Star Belgrade, Atletico Madrid & drawn with Bayern Munich and yet are 4th from bottom.

We do tend to downplay and overplay our abilities/weaknesses at times.

Keep the excuses coming. The ball was the wrong shape. The grass was too long. Our players couldn't see each other because our new away kit made us invisible.

Didn't wash for Ferguson, won't wash for you.

Yeah, you're right - Boton are f*cking brilliant.

They're no Wigan, though...

They aren't excuses, they're facts.

My excuse is that I didn't pick Lampard because he was too expensive. Though, if I had, I'd have had the same problem anyway. He's been injured for most of the season but he's still one of the best midfielders in terms of points. Why? Because he's very nearly God.

I just logged in for the first time since the start. I'm not actually last. I'm second from last. Whoo!

Well since you put it like that Laughing

What i'm saying is.... are Bolton supposedly any worse than the sides 4th from bottom of Serie A or la liga?

Technically probably.

Crap game though.... Blues totally uninspiring against a 2nd div side ... should have buried them 5-0.

I just hope Arsenal draw Chelsea in the quarters ... they'll be guaranteed a semi final spot.

Another two goals for Torres in the Premiership. You'd have to be mad to leave him out. He's got 17 goals in 22 starts now. Not many foreign players have taken to the premiership so quickly. It's his first season FFS. Of course, it's his pace that's helped him. Got pace? Got premiership goals.

That's not far off Ronaldo. 19 goals in 24 starts.

What was Benitez thinking? I suppose you could make the argument that he's scored so many goals because he's been so fresh every time he's played. Now if he could just get a world class strike partner.

True, very true.

Compare their performance tonight (at home against a crap team) to the Gunners and ManU performances last night,
and you'll understand why I'd like the Gunners to draw them in the 1/4's.
easy pickings ...

Hattrick for Torres.

Anyone know how hattrick is supposed to be written? I've never known. Hat-Trick? Hat-trick? Hattrick? Hatrick?

As do Milan (better in fact) - in both legs of the last round.
I'd take Maldini (even at 39) ahead of Terry any day ...

Chelsea did play some entertaining stuff mourino's first season. When they played with two wingers in Robben and Duff/Cole they played good football and I remember them having a consistant run of knocking 4 past a shed load of teams.

yeah their game was a lot faster that season. robben was probably their best player. under grant the goals are coming but they're still dull to watch - you dont need goals for a good football match
