Last 8 of the Champions League

Arsenal
Man United
Chelsea
Liverpool or Inter
Barcelona
Fenerbache
Schalke 04
Roma

So the prem will have 50% of the teams if Liverpool do their stuff. Only team to fear is Barca, and all of those sides can beat them.

its been a similar story for the past 3-4 seasons now. before it was la liga.

barca still favs with most bookies with the big 4 next. it'd be awesome if we can avoid each other in the QFs and set up an all english semis line up

The Champion's League will be taken out by the the team that has no chance of winning their domestic title.

If Barca are still in the hunt with Real, they will devote more time and resources to possibly achieving domestic success. The same applies to Arsenal and Chelsea and Man U.

I will go with Liverpool. Shitbox team in the League, but they will be inspired to get something out of what looks to be a cRap season.

Law of averages suggests otherwise, there'll be at least 1 all=prem QF.

And as we saw last year we had 3 teams in the SF and one of our teams didn't win it.

If you're a big team, you're crossing fingers, toes, the works, that you draw Fenerbache or Schalke. Roma are nothing special. Liverpool make up the "four to draw" numbers.

LOL @ Spurs

Started a last 16 Uefa game as though it were Plymouth in the league cup.

Only started playing after they went 1-0 down

I'm watching Rangers on 971. A goalkeeping error of gargantuan proportions right on the stroke of halftime means they're winning 1-0.

Make that 2-0. The Bremen keeper's having a night to forget. Ibrox is rocking and the "bouncy bouncy" is in full swing. Proper fitbae, you can't beat it.

I switched between the Spuds and Everton games - they were both useless and totally outclassed.

Not much quality in the "best league in the world" when you scratch the surface...

Pft.... If 1 game doesn't mean you're better than the opposition, 1 loss to a side doesn't make you rubbish.

Spurs just played as badly as i've seen this season, it happens.

Everton are not really a technical team are they, their style isn't suited to top level IMO...

As I said last night, we're far to quick to either praise or knock our football, no middle ground.

Spurs were terrible in the last round too and lucky to go through. Played the same way - couldn't get their "flair players" (all one of him) going, panicked, spent the final hour hoofing the ball long in the hope of picking up a lucky bounce or bobble.

I can smack a ball two-thirds of the length of a football field. And you won't have to pay me as much as 50 grand a week to do it.

And what supposedly decent team lines up with Phil Neville and Lee Carsley in the centre of their midfield?

They wouldn't look out of place in the Championship.

That habit is not really confined to your football.

Nor is it confined to the English

I think those results give an indicator of the standard of football from the teams outside the top four.

Very dissapointing esp with Everton, not too surprised with the Spurs result, they defend like a pub team and PSV are a decent team.

Not sure they were lucky though, I watched the 1st leg - they should have won 6-1. They panicked a little tis all... tonight they lost to a blunder by a debutant and still had enough chances to at least have drawn.

Oldham have beaten Everton & Barnsley have beaten Liverpool in our cup, doesn't mean their leagues are superior though does it? It's cup football...

Man U v Portsmouth in the FA Cup QF - 0-0 at HT. Tevez missed a virtual open goal with only the defender to beat (who cleared it off the line).

United dumped out of the cup 1-0 by Pompey.

Should've been well ahead though. Guy on Fanzone just shouted out 'Oh F*ck off' live on air as the penalty was given.. LMAO
