It's a shame that we will always view poor Pakistan performances with suspicion given what's gone before. Let's hope it's just legitimate crapness on this occasion... though the lack of urgency with the bat was remarkable.

It's not Pakistan's fault, Sir Ian Botham had apparently predicted Pakistan to win this trophy a few days ago.

To paraphrase Mark Twain, if you don't like Ian Botham's opinion, just wait a few minutes.

Yeah, terrible chase that. It wasn't a minefield. They just totally shut up shop. The most criminal thing is that, unlike England, they didn't even really try pushing their running between the wickets. Awful stuff.

Looks like a god-awful chasing effort of a smallish target by the Wackies. That's got "dodgy" written all over it.
Anywho, well done to the Yarps on securing the points.

They've practised losing games like that so often that they can now do it without trying.
Still you have a point. Kamran? Why?

Given how shit their batting is, it was going to be a stiff chase. Managed to lose a wicket to Phangiso...
Well played South Africa.

Very bad batting indeed, Nasir Jamsheed and Misbah are the only proper batsmen. Can't believe they didn't include Umar Akmal.

So I guess that will be the end of Misbah's captaincy. And Hafeez is hardly scoring a mountain of runs either. In fact, he's probably on the verge of being dropped, so he's unlikely to be given the reins. Who else is there? Bringing back Afridi? Shoaib Malik? Someone outside this team like Taufeeq Umar? A younger player like Asad Shafiq?

Hafeez shouldn't be dropped, his bowling is very useful and he can get runs on flat tracks. I wonder if Misbah can play the 2015 world cup at the age of 41....

Right now he seems fit and is currently the best batsman. There is a need to give the likes of U Akmal and H Azam a chance( 4 or 5 games in a row).
