Root, Morgan and Bairstow are great boundary riders - saved 10 runs in the last couple of overs.

Not especially. That would require some degree of shittage to be given regarding ODIs.
I think it'd be the end of 50 over cricket if England - the most negative side in the tournament - won it.

Or at least get rid of the two new ball format, which some pundits have actually commented has improved it...

Well I'm off for the night. Pity, this game looks like turning into a cracker.

Lankan veteran duo was giving England a batting class.
England bowling, Anderson apart, showing little penetration. PP would be pleased his wenches were safe.
And Cook was unwilling to give Andy a slip. Interesting.
Good fielding from the best of the Poms though.

Cakewalk from here. SL's death bowling was their strength.
England's death bowling is their weakness. One of them.

Brezzy Lad should devote himself to fatherhood for a few years.
Well played Sanga!
Jonny B fouls up a couple of times.

The Kula Shaker move was an interesting one, looked like a mistake as he struggled to connect early on but has taken a bit of a liking to Fatboy Tim's pies now.
It's the sort of tactical switch I'd really like to see England consider once in a while, even if it didn't come off.

Incidentally, why was Tredwell dropped?
For contributing too much to the bowling effort?

They do it every game by picking Buttler.
