Aust A v Sth Africa A 24 Jul - 27 Jul, Pretoria
May as well have a thread for this. We might have an outside chance of drawing this one.
Saffies won the toss & are bowling. No other details available on crokinfo as yet.

Now they have posted the lineup i'd say we'll be lucky to get out with a draw.
Bog out already for 5 & not a lot to come.

Re: Aust A v Sth Africa A 24 Jul - 27 Jul, Pretoria
....and as CA have given Hilfy another contract, would'nt it make sense to have him in SA getting match fit in case Patto gets injured...oops!
Re: Aust A v Sth Africa A 24 Jul - 27 Jul, Pretoria
Not sure how match fit SA is. Middle of winter.

Not exactly Summer here either.

Will be interesting to see how Doolan goes. Cannot ever imagine Finch at test level. Think he'd go the way of Quiney.
If de Kock doesn't get a gig in SL, wouldn't he be better off playing here? Seem perhaps a bit odd that Alviro Petersen is opening given that he didn't seem to be playing ODIs and they said they're looking ahead to the next WC.

To answer your question, Doolan out for 6. Aust 46/2. We are crap.

This thread would be titled Australia A tour in India, that was it can cover all the matches.
Not looking good that the only people getting starts are the T20 tonkers.
At least Doolan was one of the best last match, not that is says alot

Don't know ow this will help him. It's being played on a concrete pitch.

Surely it would have been better to have him playing against Sussex.

As good as. Pretoria midwinter, no rain for three months. It is probably harder than concrete. No grass growth for 3 months so the outfield will be like lightning. No cloud cover so will the roadiest highway of all time.

Why therein did the locals insert the opposition?

Cos it will make no difference. Concrete doesn't deteriorate.
