No, I trust Red's judgement. Have you ever known her to be wrong?

Fawad's mediocre haul of wickets have all been against mediocre batsmen. He'd be slaughtered against England on their own turf.
Re: Aust A v Sth Africa A 24 Jul - 27 Jul, Pretoria
looks like Elgar is going to win this off his own bat.

He may be crap but he's still showing our second string the boundary.

This is great. The Saffers total just cheapens anything Warner and Maxwell made.
And Elgar is shit. Otherwise that means we have to accept that Warner is good.

Guess I'm wrong then. He's averaging 32 in tests but 250 odd on a raging greentop against a top class attack surely proves his credentials. Was wrong about Thami too - the ageing keeper is also flaying them. Perhaps should be playing tests after all.
Hang on - didn't you say they were playing on cement?

Don't be too hasty. We give plenty of gifts to terrible spinners. We gift-wrapped enough wickets to Imran Tahir last year. Or that pie chucker Bruce Martin in NZ....
Even the mascot took 4 wickets in the last Test.

We keep hearing about all of these young and promising Aussie fast bowlers, but they never seem to do anything.

Marsh goes cheaply again. None of the bogs are performing at the moment.
Re: Aust A v Sth Africa A 24 Jul - 27 Jul, Pretoria
A predictable draw with only Finch doing anything in the second dig.
Re: Aust A v Sth Africa A 24 Jul - 27 Jul, Pretoria
I don't see Hilfenhaus, Cummins, Butterworth playing against SAF A.taipan wrote:baggygreen wrote:South Africa A 614/7

NCN is still developing, ala Hazelwood, though CA do love him.

He's too short, struggles against late seam movement, and hasn't done anything against Pakistan.

Re: Aust A v Sth Africa A 24 Jul - 27 Jul, Pretoria
I see Warner is continuing to make lots of friends-
http://www.smh.com.au/sport/cricket/david-warner-involved-in-midpitch-altercation-20130728-2qs2r.html
However, Warner will fly out of Johannesburg with his run-scoring taking a back seat to reports of a mid-pitch altercation with South African wicketkeeper Thami Tsolekile in which the umpires had to separate the pair.
Umpires reportedly intervened twice at Pretoria's LC de Villiers Oval on Saturday, the final day of the four-day 'unofficial Test', when Warner and Tsolekile engaged in a heated on-field argument, the second day in a row they had clashed.
On the second occasion South African batsman Vaugn van Jaarsveld pulled Tsolekile away from Warner before the umpires, who stopped the game briefly, appealed for the pair to call off their run-in.
Warner tweeted afterwards: "Great to be back playing cricket, had lots of fun this week and a bit of friendly banter from the wicket keeper. Was very funny!!"

If they're close to him they won't need to look far. File should be marked.
