The point is that Elgar has scored more at a better average. He would walk into the Aussie test team.

Looks like Doolan & Maddison are trying to making a game of it.

de Lange has only bowled one over in the second innings. Looks like he's injured again.

The collapse is on. Paine gone for 5. No show gets a pair..which hopefully will end his international career.

For all the talk of how hard done by Paine is, he really doesn't have a very good first class record with the bat. One century in 110 innings. That's pretty woeful. And you can't say he's a promising young kid anymore- He'll be 30 next year. Perhaps he's just not very good?

Yeah....well..a crippling hand injury will do that for a keeper/batsman. Even so..he's still a better keeper than Wade & Haddin.

A better keeper, yes. But with the bat he tends to be more style than substance.

Before his injury he was better than both Wade & Haddin. He still deserves a chance, given Australia's lack of talent at the moment.

Not if he keeps batting the way he is. Nevill or Hartley might get a go first. Or one of those two young keepers from South Australia and WA.

I'd still play Paine ahead of Wade & Haddin in this ashes.

So is Wade, and he's in the Aussie squad as a keeper.

Harmer 8-78.

Is he any good? Never seen him bowl but he has a decent record.
