Good to see the Tories have everything under control:

Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono says he is suspending cooperation with Australia on people smuggling in the wake of recent spying revelations, the AAP World Wire reports.

SBY also said that he would continue to demand an official explanation from Australia about revelations that Australian spies targeted his mobile phone in 2009.

"I am still waiting," Dr Yudhoyono said in an address to Indonesia.
The president added he would send a letter of demand to the Australian government, requesting an official apology and an explanation from Prime Minister Tony Abbott.

Whatever MB

You know both sides spy. Hence why the Coalition aren't making a big deal about Labor doing it. FFS the Coalition are probably spying on them now.

The ALP was just unlucky in getting caught out via the leaks from Snowden.

As i see it most of these people are claiming Asylum simply because they come from a conflict zone. Clearly these people are not genuine asylum seekers but are immigrants cashing in on an obviously outdated UN convention.

Tories - all class:

Liberal Party pollster Mark Textor published a succession of abusive comments, with one likening Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa to a ''1970s Pilipino [sic] porn star''.

In one tweet, since deleted, Mr Textor attacked the Indonesian Foreign Minister.

''Apology demanded from Australia by a bloke who looks like a 1970s Pilipino [sic] porn star and has ethics to match,'' he tweeted along with the hash-tag ''#Fairfax demands appeasement''.

In another, the Liberal insider asked ''What sort of head of state communicates with a head of a neighbouring government by twitter FFS? SBY''. FFS is shorthand for ''for f---'s sake''.

In a further tweet, Mr Textor said the phone-tapping incident revealed by whistleblower Edward Snowden was in 2009 and said ''Maybe SBY uses some sort of weird-ass ancient calendar''.

But he also appeared to justifying the phone tapping of the Indonesian President and his wife as well as eight other senior figures with the tweet: ''Last time I looked no Indonesians were ever bombed in Australia.'' He published pictures of the Bali bombers under the tweet ''Nothing to see here.''

Aye, it's good to see someone cut throught the crap and speak the truth. Communicating via twitter certainly demanded a "FFS", it should have happened sooner.

I'm pretty sure these things are for post action approval. We've got declared ASIS officers wprking in a couple of Asian posts. They weren't there just to train the locals. You could probably say that all embassy officials are de facto spies anyway.

Bill should've played the "Team AustraLIA" line earlier. I'd be more worried what they're up to domestically.
