You're right. I remember Mynah from early C4 days too - i think I must've joined around the same time as you.

Does anyone still talk to Sue Marcs from the C4 forum? Did she make it over to FB?

Never made it to FB 1.0 ... I think one of the Robs might have been in contact.

You're right.  I remember Mynah from early C4 days too - i think I must've joined around the same time as you.

I first "met" Mynah on the old SA Supersport site in 2002. Other members there were Barbara, Hilda and Caspar. I joined C4 in December 2002 and think Mynah was slightly before me.

Neil was already there when I arrived and Lever would have joined in 2003 as he said.

IIRC correctly she disappeared some time before the demise of C4.

RIP Mynah. You were a forum gentlewomen who managed to stick around despite all the doggerel and as many have mentioned, keep everyone entertained with your stories and witty observations.

A sad loss indeed.

One of mynah's passions was cooking. She invited me for lunch one Saturday and the kitchen ceiling had collapsed the previous evening. It was quite fun picking pieces of ceiling out of your food. I think some how Murphy is related to mynah because if something went wrong, mynah was in close proximity. If she wasn't dropping plates or falling (not intentionally) over people during our lunches, she would come out saying what was on her mind and would have everybody sitting near us crawling with laughter and she would try and look completely innocent.

Echoing everybody else's sentiments, sad, sad news.

Poor mynah can't even berate countryman Hansie for being a dick, given she'll be in a different place to him.

This news has somewhat spoiled my day.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Mynah's dry humour, and interesting take on things. I will miss her contributions to this mad-house.

Jill, sad that you have gone off the cricket. I supposed that's partly just existential fears on my part though. Time passing, old passions passing away, and all that.

On a lighter note, How are the horses?

I never enjoyed Jimmeh. I was a firm Gough lover.

I didn't move on after 2005 and from then got less and less interested. Still check all the scorecards and enjoyed a bit of TMS this summer but the passion has gone.

Horses are ace. I'm off to the provincial finals next weekend. The cowgirl dream is on track :-D

Wow. I would almost make a point to read a topic where she'd posted regardless of subject. Genuinely will miss reading her posts but will look through the articles she wrote.
