Carbs is having a mare only Dello could dream of. Two sitters shelled, fumbling in the field and conceding runs too.
He'll have to score a 70 not to be a Kerrigawn.

I'm not convinced the Scots are going to get these.

It's not about that. It's about us nicking their clear best bowling talent, then having the temerity to have a look at him whilst playing against the team he should be playing for.PeterCS wrote:I see you're not rankin' Woyd Bankin.Brass Monkey wrote:I was going to dignify the England / Ireland match with a thread, then I saw that Boyd Rankin has taken a couple of Irish wickets.
We're absolutely pathetic and I hope we get totally wiped off the park by the Irish.
F*ck you England.

We could at least have had the decency to "Midwinter" Stirling and one of the O'Briens as well, to go with Morgan and Rankin.

Well, 269 is a decent riposte to the kidnappings.
Positives for England so far ...
Tredders
Morgan's catching/Fielding.
And
errrr, that's about it.

I hope the ICC do something to stop it, TBH. Imagine how much better Ireland would be with Rankin and Morgan in their side. Furthermore, as the closest nation, we should do more than we are to bring them into the world game. We're a f*cking disgrace.PeterCS wrote:

Is there any point to Luke Wright? Avg 22 with bat (HS 52 - 2 50s) and 57 with ball in ODIs.

This could turn out to be pretty funny. English bats making the Irish (with the best will in the world) trundlers look like Walsh and Ambrose.

Henry would say it would depend on whether he's catching or pitching.

@ Maharaja Furrington:
Being a "top" or a "bottom".
Anyway - that was a bit of an anti-climax.

So the best English bowler was Irish, and the best English batsman was Irish.
Makes some sort of sense.

Stick it up yer bollocks, Ireland. We're way better at being Irish than yous.
Re: Ireland v England, Only ODI, Dublin, 3 September, 2013
How long before we steal Dockrell? Or Stirling? It can't go on.
Imagine if you stuck Morgan and Rankin in the Ireland side - there's no way they wouldn't beat Banglazim in ODIs AND Tests.

Trent Og O'Johnston and Seamus Sorensen did okay with ball and bat respectively, as well.
Dello - you missed a chance to say "Oirish" and "bejayzus".

If you'd put Morgan in the Irish side today, they'd have won by about 80 runs.

80 runs? You're forgetting that Ireland only got 270 because Boyd Rankin took 4/46.
Bopara's innings was really quite good. I like him. He has a new found maturity and comfort within himself. I'd actually back him, Bairstow-style, and stick him in the Test side at #6. I have faith.
