Maybe NTR but deserves its own thread.

I blame Merlin.

He's been doing down Middlesex for over a year now.

In other, but just as tragic, news - Ollie Rayner has been added to the England Lions squad in place of the injured Simon Kerrigan.

Ollie Rayner. Yes, that's the one. The baseball pitcher.

I'd sign up the whole of the New York Yankees if we could find someone who can turn a ball. About time we had a chucker, every other country has!

Not ideal, but nowhere near as bad as the cheating boggle-eyed asterisk, or Ajmal. Not in the same ballpark.

Here's an idea as to how many backroom staff England have these days. Which makes the ruining of Finn seem all the more tragic. What a stifling environment it must be in the England team these days.

Surely this was as much about how much Finn had the shits? Or am I oversimplifying? Did Finny simply lose the ability to bowl? Maybe he was suffering silently ala Leon.

Perhaps what Finn needs is a nice medley of 'Not selectable' to the tune of the Stones' 'Respectable'; and 'The Yips Are Getting Bigger', by our very own (and appropriate) Mentals. That should cheer him up and get him back on track.

Ollie Rayner.  Yes, that's the one.  The baseball pitcher.

So that's Kerrigan, Overton and Willey who have all been injured this winter by England's player development programme.

Ollie Rayner. Deary me. If that doesn't confirm that there's nothing but dust in the spin cupboard...

Pretty much the whole squad has been playing like a bunch of cabbages.

This is just the Finn end of the veg.

What's the record for the number of players going home mid-tour for reasons other than injury?

Who's next? Joe Root?

bit tough...most countries use substantially different squads for jamodis and tests...tho the unfortunate Finn was selected in both...poms have only had 3 unplanned evictions from the house - Trott, Chinn and Finn...

Mebbe so. . mebbe so. . . Nowt against the Middlesex team, Petey . . . just one particular person.

But what I will say is this - apart from very occasionally knocking over the non strikers stumps in his follow through- Finn was a bloody quick and accurate bowler when playing for Middlesex.
All this sh*t started after Saker took him aside to "rectify" his action - poor bugger didn't know whether he was Arthur or Martha after that. As a consequence, now he's f**ked up, it's "Farewell and good luck" - as he's sent home.
Infuriating.

My hope is that he stays well away from the poisonous England bowling coaches and sticks with Middlesex all this coming season - doing things HIS way and not getting f**ked up by England's "experts" who, more often than not, blow out of their ar*ses.

God help Tynan Mills.

Merlin
