I didn't think it was that far down? Pretty far but not that far. I suppose the seppos have something. I know it's deeper than the Air France one. If it is actually there.

According to what I read the other day it can be controlled by the pilots but the cabin crew outside of the cockpit seemingly wouldn't have control. Thus if the other pilot (there were only two on a shorter haul flight) was on a break outside of the cockpit, the one at the controls could control the oxygen supply. Surely he would only turn it off to the cabin for sinister reasons. And in the case of the Air France crash because the pilots didn't alert the passengers to the imminent danger none of them had activated oxygen masks or life jackets.

They said at the time that it evaded radar but obviously now they're reporting that it moved around like a fighter jet. It has come up on all the news feeds. Maybe the military is releasing more info. Most of the pilots etc. who comment in cyberspace are convinced that the Malaysian govt. for one knows more that is being revealed atm.
Anyway it's been confirmed by the Aussie forces involved that the search moved under the surface of the water today.

An oil slick has been reported in the area that has been narrowed down for the unmanned sub to search. It has been sent for testing.

I would have thought an oil slick would have moved quite some distance from the crash site by now.

Re: Aussies aboard missing Malaysian airliner
the slick has been tested and a number of possibilities remain
* grease from the palms of azza, srini, modi, hansie
* slime from the bodily emanations of G Clarke
* congealed fat from the heads of Clotto and Warner
* the embryo of a certain pre full term pakistani all rounder
testing continues...either Red or Taips will bring the conclusive proof

For a sub that goes 4500 metres deep, it looks like (but clearly isn't) a very flimsy propeller.

When does Hollywood make a film about the deluded pilot sinking a plane deliberately? And will it be before or after they find the plane?

With the Bluefin Sub as the superhero - first interrogating Pistorius in Courtroom 2 before changing into a fetching skintight blue lycra top to go hunting deep in the Southern Ocean.
