Re: English Domestic Season (2014)
The good thing right now Petey is that Gus the Pus is preoccupied with being an England selector . .PeterCS wrote:Gussie will drag them down yet, Merls ... put in an appearance and demoralise the whole camp.
and this keeps him away from a thriving Middlesex squad. Huzzah!
He will, sadly, put in an appearance sometime, at which point I'm afraid Middlesex will implode (at the sight of him)!

Are Pears hell bent on playing Cosker into the England reckoning? I kid you not, he must have 30+ wickets this season after the michelle he took today.

Northants 384? Amazing. Just amazing. I'm welling up. It's so mega that I'm welling up in my pants as well.
Re: English Domestic Season (2014)

Northants lads are making a fist of it.
'ave a word will ya . . .
Sexies need the 24 points more than your guys need their 7 !!

Re: English Domestic Season (2014)
No pouint in a draw for Middlesex, who should bash 50-70 very quickly tomorrow and declare ASAP. If Northants collapse as usual the Sexers will get full points; if the Pants do manage to win they're so low in the championship it won't hurt Middlesex.
So ... it'll be a draw.

Yep.
Scorcher today - a Lord's wicket - draw the only result.
Bugger.

George Dockrell to solve England's spin problem?
(When he's not pretending to be George Dobell.)
All right, jk.

Who gives a bibble. It's like following a school game, only less Rolf Harris-like.

Shit declaration, IMO. Middx only went at 4's and took up 38 overs today. Leaving us around 68 overs to chase 300. OK, we're not likely to survive 70 overs, but you can't leave miracles to chance.

I took a massive dump about an hour ago.
As I looked down at it I thought, "Currently, I rate you better than Alistair Cook."

Spot on - I totally agree.
A very Cook-like declaration - ponderous, prolonged and irritating - leaving not much time/overs to finish the job.
Bugger.

I looked at Northants earlier and thought 'God, I wish you were Alastair Cook'.

But... this is Northants and there's three-odd hours left. We've been blasted out in less time on around three occasions this season....

Two down already. Effectively three down because Rob Keogh is out injured.
Re: English Domestic Season (2014)
Worcs. back at the top of Div 2 then. I reckon 50 points from our remaining games should see us promoted - then again I might be hideously wrong.
