He hardly played for them, so I'm not sure if there was any sort of effect to be honest.
tongue in cheek, Basil (and MoH), just to feed the running gag
but perhaps he should play for Essex more often

If next year doesn't go well for him he will be playing plenty of cricket for Essex for the following five years or so, unless he fancies an early move to the commentary box...

Keep telling yourself that.

Keep telling yourself that.
And keep hoping and praying that that is the case.

Yup.
Dun 'n' dusted for another year.
Pads, gloves and lid all put away.
Pitches scarified, raked, top dressed and put to bed..
Roll on April 2015 and the Ashes.

Yeah, we're yet to see an English season continue into October, as far as I'm aware... could change with the advent of floodlit FC cricket I suppose. Lack of daylight's the major factor, weather certainly no worse than the freezing April starts.

Shame but as much as I hate to admit it, it's likely we'd never see the best of him at Essex. Hopefully he'll improve 200% like most bowlers who leave Essex. And that he manages to stay fit for more than three matches in a row.

Torygraph reckons he's off to Sussex, we'll just have to wait and see.

Standard Essex bowling attack: Masters (rm), Ryder (rm), Topley (lm), Napier (rm), Bopara (rm).
No point Mills sticking around and being forced to conform to the dobbergeddon.
A move to a new county could give him the old Chris Jordan careerboostageddon.
Or he could disappear altogether. Time will tellageddon.

Re: English Domestic Season (2014)
Napier rm? Pay attention m8.
Yeah, if moving to Sussex can get Chris Jordan in the England team then Tymal Mills will be opening the bowling in the Ashes next summer.
