So a decent lead for the Snoozies, and another shaky England start. But never fear, the Belf Chef is here!!

I've got an awful feeling that, with the help ofshowers forecast for today, Cook and Bell are going to crab their way toa draw and be the "Saviours" of England.

Yet another "easy-on-the-eye" failure.

Lasted as long as the 3rd ball.

So Root (leading a charmed life) makes good his Test average again at lunch.
And Cook enjoying his lunch on 69.
England effectively 41-3.

100 for the Christchurch battler.
Unfortunately for NZ ... against them.
85 or 86 balls (depending on who you listen too). Only The Croucher ever faster at Lord's, it seems.
The dressing room locker will be getting really jealous.

Quality knock - never let the bowlers settle. Fastest ton at Lord's

Superb innings. Still think Craig should be bowling more to Stokes despite being a bit shit.

Ben Stokes, I salute both and your Mum. Glorious entertainment.
I also agree the Sky team, being out of the ODI team has helped Cook, no matter what he thinks.

Shambles of a pitch, though, as per usual. I wouldn't feel safe with a 400 lead. Disgraceful that Lord's can keep on producing such shirt fronts without reproach and they get TWO Tests per year. Absolute qunts.
Re: England v New Zealand, 1st Test, Lord's, 21-25 May 2015
If it weren't for the overcast conditions, there wouldn't have been any wickets in the last two days.
Quality from Stokes, though. Not good enough for the World Cup squad, lest we all forget...

We never forget. In the coming of the batsmen or the going out of the light, we do remember.Dello wrote:If it weren't for the overcast conditions, there wouldn't have been any wickets in the last two days.

Fox Sports in Australia are an absolute disgrace. Suddenly, around tea time in the cricket, they cut off the cricket and showed channel to channel premier league, despite having five channels and red button options. It was an astonishing pack of respect shown to cricket fans living in Australia. And I was f*cking livid.

Great work by Stokes. Great game with the bat. And Chef did OK too. That must secure him for the next two years.

2) I thought you thought England were currently nobbut a bunch of tossers, so you were better off out of it anyway?

I think it is important for Fox Sports to show as many games of EPL as possible. There are hundreds of thousands of fans here who enjoy their football especially Liverpool supporters who like nothing better than watching their team playing the beautiful game.
I was surprised that they didn't have it available through the red button.

Fark it, I was going to put some cash on the Poms before the start of yesterday's play.
Interesting choices for Cook today - with Mukka in the team any target is possible. Might be best to bat to lunch and hope that NZ self destruct rather than try to force the game.
