Right, it's like this (Game of Thrones) II

Yep - it's like Martin has given up on the books and is concentrating on finishing the series via the show.
Apparently he is working hard on the book and had nothing to do with the show this year.
All evidence to the contrary.
Unless he plans to release the last couple of books back to back to keep with the show.

I heard early 2016. He released a Sansa chapter last month.

Re: Right, it's like this (Game of Thrones) II
S05E05.
- Spoiler:
- In House Bolton, slimy Ramsay's girlfriend is jealous of Sansa, then takes her to the dog kennels & shows her Reek. Later at dinner Ramsay makes Reek (Theon) apologise to Sansa for killing Brann & Rickon (which of course he didn't). Roose is suitably unimpressed by his son's antics so lets his mistress announce that she's preggers. Ramsay is pissed & Sansa is amused. Sansa does get assurances from various quarters that she has friends in House Bolton.
At the Wall Jon has decided to make peace with the Wildlings, who he needs for manpower to fight to coming White Walkers, to the chagrin of many. He frees Tormund & heads off on some of Stannis' ships to round up Free Folk. Stannis leads his men towards Winterfell to begin his quest to take the North.
In Meereen, Daeny tries to scare Harpy secrets out of the family leaders, including feeding a couple to her dragons. However, after some advice from Missandei, changes tack & agrees to reopen the fighting pits. Earlier a recovering Grey Worm admitted to Missandei that the thing he feared as he was stabbed was never seeing her again. They then kissed.
On the boat to Meereen, Jorah & Tyrion are actually bonding (how can one not love the Imp?). They arrive at Valyria on-route, but are attacked by Stone Men. Jorah fights them off but the Imp falls in the water. He comes too on a beach after Jorah saves him. We see that Jorah has been touched and has a growing stony patch on his forearm.
A trailer at the end seems to suggest Sansa's titties might be having on outing in the next ep.

Re: Right, it's like this (Game of Thrones) II
Well that was horrible. Unnecessary too. Did we really need any further proof of Ramsay being a maniac? And is for character development has Sansa not been through enough already?
Not sure why they thought they would throw that on top, it all seems to obvious as well.

Pretty mild compared to the equivalent scene in the book.

True but it's against a relative nobody in the book. Not a complete nobody but hardly a central character.

Re: Right, it's like this (Game of Thrones) II
Basically a complete nobody, so no point in bringing her in.
Impossible to show an 800 page book in 10 hours and let's face it, if it was anywhere as complex as the book, TV viewers would lose the plot.

Wouldn't have harmed the plot to drop it. We know he's a sadistic maniac, but then again we also know anything other than what he did wouldn't be in keeping with his character, so I guess they backed themselves in to a corner by having Sansa take Jeyne's place.

As long as we don't forget that Jeyne was Fake Arya in the first place. The whole point was for Ramsay to marry a Stark to cement the Bolton's claim to Winterfell.

S05E06.
- Spoiler:
- Ep starts with Arya washing some old corpse in the House of Black & White. She impatiently asks what happens to the bodies but is fobbed off. She undergoes a ritual of telling her life story & being whipped any time she lies.
Tryion informs Jorah he killed Tywin. Jorah learns that his own father is dead, murdered in mutiny.
A father brings his sick daughter to Arya (weirdly) & she bullshits to the girl that she was sick & healed by the magic water. She tends to the girl, all the time being watched. She follows Jaqen to a large chamber, where he says she is ready to become someone else.
Jorah tells Tyrion how he saw the light via Daeny’s fiery dragon birth effort. They are then captured by slavers. Jorah is beaten & the Imp talks his way out of having his throat slit (thanks to his non-dwarf sized cock). After the reopening of the fighting pits of Meereen is mentioned, Tyrion convinces the captors that Jorah is one of the greatest warriors in the 7 Kingdoms, which gives them a stay.
Baelish is back in King’s Landing. Cersei ignores his warning against Loris’ incarceration. He tells her he has located Sansa, & her impending marriage to Ramsay. She is furious. He counsels her to wait for Stannis to march on Winterfell, & for Cersie to attack whichever army survives before winter arrives. He offers the knights of the Vale as an army. He asks to be named Warden of the North if he succeeds. She agrees. She wants Sansa’s head on a stake.
Jaime & Bronn sneak into the Martell palace, but as they reach Myrcella they are confronted by the Sand Snakes. After a short fight both parties are arrested by palace guards. Ellaria is also arrested.
Lady Olenna journeys to King’s Landing to get in Cersei’s face about Loris. Cersei asks her to cool her jets until the hearing before the High Septon. At the hearing Loris denies all charges but his most recent lover is brought as a witness. He implicates Margaery. The High Septon rules that Loris & Margaery are to stand trial for bearing false witness before the Gods. Cersei gives the shocked Olenna a smug look.
Then, of course, the ep finishes with the scene those above are referring to. Sansa & Ramsay are married, then Ramsay takes her back to his bed, demands the crying Reek watches, then, without so much as a hint of foreplay, rapes poor virginal Sansa.

Re: Right, it's like this (Game of Thrones) II
S05E07. Grouse last scene.
- Spoiler:
- Jon Snow releases Tormund & heads off on his mission to win over the Wildlings.
Sansa asks Reek for help to escape the nightly raping but he whimpers. She begs he put a distress signal in the highest tower to signal the North for help (via the old maid). He nods but goes to Ramsay instead.
Maester Aemon dies & is cremated after words from Sam. Acting Lord Commander Alliser ominously tells Sam he is losing all his friends.
Sansa joins Ramsay on the Castle rampart. She questions him about the rights of his step-mother’s child, telling him a true-born son will have a stronger claim to the Warden of the North title than bastard him. We see Reek dobbed her in, as Ramsay shows her the bloodied, crucified body of the old maid. Sansa is gutted.
Stannis’ party is struggling in heavy snow. Davos wants to turn back, but Stannis won’t have it. He begins to question Melisandre’s visions. She reassures him but says he must sacrifice Shireen to the Gods to ensure victory. He refuses.
2 Night’s Watch guards want to rape Gilly & bash defending Sam, but Ghost (Jon’s direwolf) comes to their rescue. Gilly bonks him for his bravery.
Jorah is sold as fighting pit grist & Tyrion talks his way into the sale.
In bed, Daario urges Daeny to slaughter all the Masters of Meereen, but she refuses. He warns that all rulers are either butchers or meat.
Olenna fronts the High Septon but gets no joy as he can’t be bought or threatened.
Tommen gets in Cersei’s face about his goaled queen. She bullshits to him about fate & parenthood.
In Dorne, Myrcella angrily tells Jaime she will be marrying Trystane. In the cells, Sand Snake Tyene shows Bronn some flesh (nice titties) as he starts to choke due to poison on her dagger. After he vows that she is the most beautiful woman, she gives him an antidote.
In his destroyed brothel, Baelish deals with a shat off Olenna.
Jorah must fight to gain his way to the Great Games. He is successful, but Daeny is unimpressed when he removes his helmet. As he is being dragged off, Tyrion enters the arena & shocks her with his Lannister name.
Cersei pays a cynical visit to Margaery in a squalid cell. She then questions the High Septon about the rules of confession. He then asks Cersie “what will we find when we strip away your finery?” It seems Lancel has dobbed her in for incest. She is grabbed & chucked in a cell, in one of the more satisfying scenes since Joffrey choked to death.

Outstanding jubblies.
Cracking show all round. This series is going to end beyond the most recent book. Martin had better get his shit together.

- What did Sansa grab off the ledge as Ramsay turned his back (it looked to be a small cross or something that she could use as a weapon), before she questioned his right to the title of Warden of the North?
