Re: Right, it's like this (Game of Thrones) II
- Spoiler:
- I hope he properly survives and not just by warging in to an animal/human just before he dies. Azor Ahai is a nice theory in which case coming back from the dead isn't a bad bet.
I was reading a fan theory that Victarion might be Azor Ahai. They will definitely have to change that in the show seeing as the Greyjoys have been pretty much dropped!

- ah. The Prince that was Promised. Pretty sure R+L=J is correct. If Howland Reed is cast we will know.

Re: Right, it's like this (Game of Thrones) II
- Spoiler:
- There have been a few nods to R+L=J already this season so it is all but confirmed I think, wouldn't be surprised if we find it out for certain before the season end. Would be ridiculous if Jon did then die after such a revelation so hopefully it won't happen although you can never rule it out with GOT.

Has anyone else noticed how much Chuck Blazer looks like George RR Martin.

Funny you say that, about 5 minutes ago I saw Chuck Blazer on the BBC website and before reading the headline I thought "Shit, has GRRM died?!".taipan wrote:Has anyone else noticed how much Chuck Blazer looks like George RR Martin.

What do you think about my second point? I did note the giant in Ep 8.
- Spoiler:
Totally agree. The page is being set up for the job. It's going to cause more crap than RW. Natalie will blow her mind.
- Spoiler:
Yeah it was spelled out with his interaction with Sam in the last episode. Stupid Sam.
What is the prevailing theory re Jon? That he is dead but will warg in to someone else or that he will survive? Or maybe come back from the dead via Dennis Pennis' lot?
- Spoiler:
he will survive somehow. I see Mel's involvement somewhere. Sooner or later they will have to explain the Tower of Joy.
Will watch tonight and see how many boxes we ticked.

Out of town, but the HD recorder has the ep for me. I'm expecting some lively happenings.

Terribly bleak episode.
Great ending at least.
- Spoiler:
- If children aren't getting burnt at the stake by their parents they are getting raped (that girl didn't look too happy about what was about to happen). Horrendous. Possibly the bleakest episode yet which takes some doing
Great ending at least.

I've never heard of The Onion but at first glance i'd say its some pretentious, self absorbed, pseudo satirical blog that thinks its being clever by throwing shyte at anything that proves popular with the masses.....how'd i go?

Very weak attempts at humour from the articles that I read.

Re: Right, it's like this (Game of Thrones) II
S05E09 - as vilks says, pretty bleak and black.
- Spoiler:
- - After Ramsay and his 20 men raid & sabotage Stannis' camp, Davos is sent back to Castle Black for horses & reinforcements. Melisandre gets her way & Stannis sacrifices Shireen in a brutal scene.
- Jon Snow & the surviving Free Folk are allowed back beyond the Wall.
- Arya is distracted from her job to kill the Thin Man when she sees Meryn Trant guarding Lord Tyrell on a visit to the Iron Bank. She shadows him to a brothel where he cruelly demands a young girl to rape. Arya wants her vengeance on this cruel guard for his crimes when she was captured at Kings Landing.
- Jaime & Bronn are freed with the proviso that Myrcella returns to Kings Landing & Trystane serve on the Small Council as a show of support from Dorne for the Lannisters.
- Jorah wins in the Meereen fighting pits then leads a defence against many attacking Sons of the Harpy. They look done for until Daeny summons Drogon, who torches the Harpys. She then flies away on his back.
