Re: Right, it's like this (Game of Thrones) II
S05E08 – good ep.
- Spoiler:
- In no particular order:
- Sansa gets Reek to admit that he didn’t kill Bran & Rickon, which gives her a flicker of something to live for;
- Roose Bolton wants to hole up in the castle & let Stannis’ horde starve & die, but Ramsay wants to attack;
- Tyrion rips off a grouse speech to Daeny (that saves Jorah’s life) convincing her to engage him as her adviser, but she banishes Jorah, who angles for a bout in the fighting pits;
- Cersei rots in a cell as a female Sparrow whacks her to confess, but she refuses;
- Arya is now Lana, & is given a mission to assassinate a gambler/money lender;
- Then comes the biggest scene of the season. Jon Snow & Tormund convince a chunk of the Free Folk to join them in the fight against the White Walkers, but several clans refuse. They are enveloped by a rolling wall of freezing mist, which turns them into walking dead, who attack Snow & Tormund’s new crew. Snow barely escapes with his life (fighting them off with his Valyrian steeled Longclaw blade), & the Walkers’ dead army take down many. As the fleeing Snow & crew look on in horror, the head White Walker raises his arms & all the slain rise up to join the dead army. Good luck turning them back at the Wall, Jon.

I agree that last week's babylons were just supreme. I was horrendously disappointed that there wasn't a cheeky minge shot though

Oh, sorry, it's only some silly woolly metal band.
Not the mammoth bastards from even further back.
Not the mammoth bastards from even further back.
- SNOILER:
- “It was such an incredible experience to be on set as extras for our collective favorite show Game of Thrones and to be wildlings murdered and then brought back to life by White Walkers was beyond amazing. I watched my best friends Brent and Bill murdered right in front of me as I myself was stabbed in the stomach and had my throat slit multiple times and I didn’t mind at all. It made me love being in Mastodon even more. We are more than privileged and honored to have been a part of one of the greatest stories ever told on film – and the catering wasn’t bad either.”

Aye.
It's gonna be interesting to see if this series ends the same way the last book did.

Actually I can think of 7/8 major scenes/developments still to come.

- Spoiler:
Off the top of my head:
- walk of shame + undead mountain
- Jon
- Mace Tyrell coming back from the Iron Bank?
- Presumably something will happen with Brienne
- Dany's wedding + dragons (no idea what Tyrion will do)
- no idea where Jaime and Bronn are headed
- Bran showing himself to Theon; more likely Sansa
- Arya's first job

Suggest non book readers stay away from this.
- Spoiler:
Brienne/Pod to take over the Mance Rayder role.
Tyrion to do Barristan's job.
Reek's redemption.
Drogon in the fighting pit/ Dany's escape.
Jorah to take the Quentyn Martell role?
No clue what will happen in Dorne.

Yeah - I can go with most of that.
What do you think about my second point? I did note the giant in Ep 8.

- No, I did recall them but Varys in the series doesn't seem like he would come back to Kings Landing. That said, I did note that Kevan had been called back to Kings Landing.

- Yeah it was spelled out with his interaction with Sam in the last episode. Stupid Sam.
What is the prevailing theory re Jon? That he is dead but will warg in to someone else or that he will survive? Or maybe come back from the dead via Dennis Pennis' lot?

Actually, reading her review yesterday it did strike me that death by suicide or aneurysm is a realistic outcome.

- Spoiler:
- he will survive somehow. I see Mel's involvement somewhere. Sooner or later they will have to explain the Tower of Joy.
