10yo leg spinner Thomas Wrigglesworth takes five wickets in senior Victorian cricket match

Thomas achieved his impressive figures in his first game as a bowler.


As a 10-year-old, turning up to a seniors cricket match and ripping through the opposition's batting order in a few overs is the stuff of dreams.

But that is exactly what young leg spinner Thomas Wrigglesworth did at the weekend for Sale cricket club in Victoria's east, with figures of five wickets for nine runs off just eight overs.

He also bowled three maidens in the spell.

At least he hasn't had a growth spurt and been swallowed up in the AFL...yet.
