Saffas managed to play 90 overs in their last dig. Could have stretched the game to day 4 if not for their overrated, one-trick ponies for batsmen.

Any bets that the next test will be on a highway?

Any bets on SA's flimsy batting line-up folding, regardless?

ABCDV has been disappointing. Amla's shown he has the technique to combat the turning ball and it took a pearler to get him today

So a good fight for a while by Hash and Faf, then all over Red Rover.
Well done India.

Re: India v South Africa, 3rd Test, Nagpur, 25-29 November, 2015
SA did well to get so many.
I say well, I mean lucky.
The amount of balls flying past the edge, off the edge etc was out of sight.
Batsmen were never truly in and never genuinely in a position to build an innings with any degree of confidence - all of which is kind of reflected in the fact that the top score over 4 innings was 40.
The other thing that was totally ridiculous was the amount of OTT school girl screaming appeals by the Indian team, although under the leadership of the excitable Kohli I guess we should start getting used to that. Gould was getting seriously narked by people screeching and running toward him - surely it's counter-productive to the fielding team to get the ump offside?

This series was a bit like the Chamber's Bay US Open.

The same two batsmen who started the day, finished the day.
Off the top of my head:
Hunte & Sobers 57
Lawry & Simpson 65
Taylor & Marsh 89
Jayasuriya & Mahanama 97
S.Waugh & Blewett 97
VVS & Dravid 2001
Sanga & Jaya 2006
In fact there have been 21 instances of the same two batsmen ending the day as started it. Of course, that was in the one innings.
The Elgar/Amla effort of finishing as the not out batsmen at stumps on 2 days of a Test match in different innings was the 12th instance of the occurrence. I can list them if required.
