Is this some form of boring late protest by the Yarps about the state of the wickets? 35 off 34 overs in the middle session and 21 off 24 overs so far this session.

Yes we've been watching in disbelief.

I have no issue with this slow batting.
Don't give me this rubbish about winning being first and foremost.
Not losing is.
And a draw is as good a moral victory for the Saffies in this series.

It will still be difficult to achieve from here. Perhaps they see this occupation as clawing back some respect after some horror shows with the bat.

I agree with Keats. No issue with Amla's crabbing in these circs.
(Not the poet.)
The issue is with his form!

Brilliant by Rahane.
Twice South Africa have battled in the second innings in a lost cause (or no victory hopes, anyway). Might as well have done it each innings of the match. Would kill entertainment, but the series has been doing that too. Pretty pathetic overall compared to previous South African teams here.

Aye, congrats to Rahane. Some effort given the low scoring in the series.

Astonishing concentration: Total 3 wickets 102.0 overs 91
Aust would have been all out twice by now.

Meanwhile, Jadeja's stats are now just silly:
R.A. Jadeja 34.0 27 10 1

Aye...useless keeper failed to stick and ABD lost concentration. Presume the keelper is one of the alleged quota selections Taips complains about.

Only thing left is whether Saf get get the RR over 1.00.

Is the MM2 a other quota bloke, i.e. from a certain category of school?

Actually no. But are you trying to say the quota is non-existent?

9 down. A wicket with the next ball would leave a RR of exactly 1.

All over. Safs lost 5/7 after tea and were all out for 143 in 143.1 overs.

Vilas would have to be one of their most baffling selections. It was certainly a horror test tour for SA though. They are usually quite good at bouncing back after a loss but this time just fell in a heap.

You mean almost as baffling as Tahir? Or almost as baffling as going on a 4 test tour with one opener?
