First world problems - things which irritate!

In view of the paucity of posts at this time of the year thought a trivial thread such as this could be added to.

I constantly come across little things which annoy me but are buried in the minutiae of life. Some of these probably annoy other people too and they would have lots of themselves. Some I can readily think of at this juncture are:

just about everything being encased in plastic or wrapping which takes time and effort to negotiate (you sometimes need to be carrying scissors)
trying to type text when the message overlays what you're typing with type here instruction
child-proof things which become adult-proof (or idiot-proof) too
people who come at the last minute when one has waited a while for a train etc. and push in
mobile phones on public transport with the user shouting while relating the petty details of their life
Facebook friends who post every meal they're eating.
Facebook friends who ask for something to be shared and say they know which friends will comply with this entreaty
smoking in the propinquity of crowded areas
the bloody bitch in the machine of the self-serve check out who tells me to take the goods without giving me enough time
the bloody bitch in the machine of the self-serve check out who talks about unidentified items in the bagging area when she has got it wrong
B, C, and D grade celebrities getting so much publicity
kids with names which have ridiculous look at me spelling
radically gratuitous over officiousness in any context
unnecessary forms
companies which make having a phone conversation with a human impossible

That's the worst thing about Christmas morning - trying to avoid opening an artery while cutting the kids' toys out of their packaging.
