Looking forward to this event. Keith Pelley has done a fair bit to push the European tour.

Strongly competing in the twat of the decade award (behind Muirfield and Augusta, of course)- Grayson Murray. Talking smack to.... Ben An of all people

https://twitter.com/GraysonMurray/status/847160316618297345

And on top of all that, he goes full racist too
https://twitter.com/GraysonMurray/status/847251981307592705

And of course kelly Kraft
https://twitter.com/kkraft11/

Kraft's a male, btw.

I reckon you'd be hard pressed to find a demographic more pro-Trump than US pro golfers.

Second tweet was in response to Ben An saying he needs to learn two things- play well and win things.

To which he said- three things, I can't pronounce your name either.

Proper redneck.

Kraft missed the cut. Sung Kang, an inflated rankings Asian player, leads. He's been playing on the Asian and Japanese tours for nearly a decade but he's ranked 380. A win here would get him to #80. But it's clearly the Asians who ride up the rankings sharpest.

Love a good rules farce, especially in a major. Lexi Thompson was penalised four strokes in the middle of the final round for a wrong ball replacement on Saturday (2 strokes for that, and a further two for signing the wrong scorecard). In the end, she lost the playoff to Ryu.

She was picked up by a quntish viewer apparently* placing the ball a millimetre or so to the side of the original spot. The 4 shot penalty clearly cost her big.

It is common knowledge that certain viewers search for rules infractions. Even more reason to be careful and not make an error.

Sorry this is a bit late, but wow, I wonder what Grayson's problem is? Other than the fact that he's obviously a redneck dickhead.

I like the tweet from Doug Nutter - "Grayson, you gonna make a cut anytime soon errrr?"

That was pre-Masters and he did mellow since, what with Pieters and Rahm and the Europeans being so strong in general. Very silly given how good players like Hatton have been this season.

Hugh Morris got it right in his time as ECB chief. Twitter is like giving monkeys machine guns.

Does this win count as a career PGA win (given it is a pairs event)?

I don't know how it works for PGA tour qualification, but it's not a world ranking event. But thank f*ck for something different, 45 weeks of strokeplay is shit.

Yes. He has a prized two year exemption and Fedex points. Heard an interview yesterday. A really humble funny lad

Going to be worth following the European tour this week. Golf sixes. Different format to the Perth 6s. Between 16 countries in 4 groups, 6 holes each, and greensomes format.

http://www.europeantour.com/europeantour/season=2017/tournamentid=2017036/news/newsid=322081.html

Unfortunately, India are in a tough group.

There's not enough matchplay comps. Having a fwew tournaments convert to it would probably do wonders for the ratings and maybe keep the clueless renecks at home.

Yeah, there's too much strokeplay. Need a bit more matchplay/medalplay and even 6s to shorten the events.

Thankful that we'll be getting the world feed. Sky SPorts has jazzed this shit up unnecessarily, and signed up the likes of Pietersen for commentary and some other eye candy male morning show host too.

This tournament would've been much better viewing with the usual Dougie donnelly, Tony Johnstone, Jay Townsend types.

Pietersen is just not good. Even Howell isn't great.
