Nah; Albo, but not immediately ... even if he loses, the Thunderbird puppet will keep his job for 6 months. He's not there to knife himself in the back, for starters.
Albo should have won the leadership last time ... the ALP would be a shoo-in tomorrow if he had.

Shortpants - the new Arthur Callwell of the ALP.
hoping there is a decent balance in the Senate and the Brown Shirts don't get a majority. Sex Party gets my vote - they can negotiate on changing the ridiculous tax exempt status of religious bodies.

It's very possible that no block of 2 parties (even LNP + Greens) will have a majority in the Senate.

You know if Andrews hadn't kneecapped Santa Claus my money on a hung parliament would be looking good. That said it looks as if he won't have the numbers in a joint sitting and that said does he even care. Did the last DD issue go back to the parliament or was it just forgotten about?

Aye, looking like being 3 more years of the same. From a selfish point of view, I hope the Super changes get the arse in the Senate.

Had to redo my senate paper when I belatedly realised the Sex Party was running in QLD.

Just voted. Had a particularly outstanding bacon and egg roll while lining up too.
Sadly the Senate paper had more people I wanted to put last rather than actually give my vote too.

good man qm3....just voted at the Oz embassy in Mexico City...voted Sex Party in the Senate...
Ms H took a photo of me waving two fingers at the Embassy...just after I recognised an ex PM&C git who now must work for DFAT...he was returning from lunch with a much younger Mexican girlfriend...the guy already has a haughty face, now it was positively thumpable! But I didn't.

The senate paper is ridiculous. A metre long and you can't even fit it into the voting stall. Full of ridiculous 'parties' as well.

Would'nt have beaten MY egg & bacon roll. The cake stand was outstanding this year. Unforch such things are off limits these days.
As i was voting on the senate ballot i could'nt help wondering what the Green candidates felt about the considerable forest it took to print them.
Re: Aus Federal Politics thread (XII)
Apparently exit polls are showing it could go down to the wire.

The northern candidates have been dubbed 'the three amigos' by the media. There has been a sustained campaign against them, supported by sections of the media. All three seats are marginal so i'm not suprised. The rub is that there has been a lot of concern regarding the lack of infrastructure funding from the feds. So what do we do?...vote in four labor & a toothless independent....FFS!
