Aye. The 4th wicket partnership of 50 and the unbeaten 9th wicket partnership of 61 suggest total domination of scoring and strike, since the 'silent' partners barely faced a ball

Joe Root again, we can't seem to get a handle on the guy. Hell of a player.

They might as well have kept Duckett in.

English tail wagging. Something around 450 would be very healthy.

That's a very decent tail wag by England.

Impressive debut from Daws.
Expect him to pick up a few economical wickets tomorrow.

So, India's plan... ?
Accumulate until lunch (just 10-20 ahead of England), pick up the pace gradually after that, whacking 4s &6s in due course, get to a 200-220 run lead, stick England in for 10 overs, grab 3-4 flaky wickets and spin the rest out before lunch on Day 5? Something on those lines?

Not a lot to say is there?
India has passed 400 in their first innings in every test during this series. We're looking down the barrel of being at least 150 behind when we get to bat again.

It's not all bad, though, Basil.
Liam Dawson is going to finish his Test career with an enviable batting average, unless he finishes it without an average. His bowling average, on the other hand ...
A one-Test wonder for trivia buffs of the future.

Surely the only result can be a draw. If India had any intention of winning, they would have declared by now (or even declared behind). This is crap Test cricket.

Declare behind and risk batting last? I doubt it. No, they'll go on until they are about 150 ahead I reckon, and that won't be long, given their current run rate.

Totally negative approach. India should have declared & challenged England to set them a target however this boring runfest will lamely end in a draw.

Let's see how their spinners go in our second before making predictions!
Apart from this test, the pitches have been excellent - even the quick bowlers have found some help, provided they have been prepared to bend their backs.

I think India will look to score their next 100 or so quickly, declare an hour before stumps tonight, and then move in for the kill.
I can't see an exhausted, demoralised England team already packed for the flight home surviving the challenges of day 5.
