Some incredible feats by the old men of county cricket so far this season. Shiv is making stacks of runs, Darren Stevens, is doing his best geriatric Botham impersonation, and Sanga is on e verge of his SIXTH hundred in as many first class innings. Incredible stuff.

(Although I've almost certainly woofed Sanga now)

Hope not ... he's in very exclusive company if he does get the 6th.

Was listening on the radio, bizarre image of Neil Wagner bowling off 3 paces so the umpires don't go off for bad light before Essex could get the spinners on.

As it happens, Sanga popped a gentle return catch to our part time offie so no record.

Pessimistic to the last Bas! Last years Div 2 was probably a lot easier to win than this years given that it was us, Kent and a load of old no-mark counties. We basically won that with a load of old codgers and a few rookies for a bowling attack.

Anyway, Essex are shaking up Div 1 atm and that's a good thing.

Oh that one, still grinds my gears.

Especially considering how bowling friendly New Road was back then. Still, we won the title 2 years in a row not long after I think it would have been more of a bummer had that been our last chance. We've not had even a sniff of the title in the 25 (FFS!!!!) years since.

Neither have we. And now we look like losing Kohler-Cadmore to Yorkshire.

I see Ian Holland (Dutchy III) is playing for Hants in the current match against the Bears. Seems to have been playing well for the 2s. He is a pretty decent all rounder.

btw with so many o/seas players, Hants has a Barbarians look about it.

I also see Lyon is again proving he is a dud in Pomgolia. Pity the Pears picked him up. I hope the Oz NSP are making notes - but of course they won't.
