Hehehe... Old Betty could simply hire JGK to train her footfolk how to woof.
The late Bill Peach in a 70s article said the day Oz became a republic every corgi in the country was at risk of getting a boot up the backside.

Still remember his 1990 Comm games commentary in Auckland, which ended up in him getting removed for the commentary floor,

Vale to Big Darrell. If the 12th Man took the piss out of you, you knew you were good.
His role in helping create the SOO legend is disgracefully underrecognised.

Cripes!!!
Ron Blaskett's stings are cut at 96.
Gerry Gee, the malevolent dummy-doll is still lurking about.
Maybe only Fred Nerk and Big Dog remember the pair.
Ron and Gerry Gee were fixtures on 60s telly for kids. They also performed at smoke nights, providing an entirely different patter.

I have no memory of seeing Ron & Gerry live - I first came to Melb in 1968. All I know of them I saw in retro shows.
Condolences also to Gerry's twin bro Tom Hawkins.

I hit the scoreboard
FORMER Fremantle forward Shane Yarran has been found dead in Seville Grove.
Police this afternoon attended the address, where it is believed the 28-year-old took his own life.
Yarran was drafted by the Dockers at the end of 2015 after kicking 54 goals from 19 games at Subiaco that season.
He made six AFL appearances, kicking 10 goals, before retiring after a series of off-field incidents.
A report will be prepared for the State Coroner, but Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
Yarran rose to prominence at Subiaco in 2014, a year after being released from jail after serving a six-year burglary sentence.
The forward kicked 39 goals in his first season at the Lions, then 54 the next year to catch the attention of AFL scouts.
He won two WAFL premierships in his two seasons at Subiaco, then added a third at Peel while on Fremantle’s list in 2016.
The young father retired from AFL after one year at the Dockers following further legal troubles.
He had recently been attempting to get his football back on track, training with Subiaco and playing in the WAAFL for Gosnells.

Fox reporting Shane Yarran (cousin of Chris) who looked promising in half a dozen games for Freo a couple of years ago before frying himself in Uncle Dougs, was found dead in his home this afternoon. All the usual clichés that get trotted out when somebody takes their own life, were marked present.
