Well he certainly acted like one last night. ABDV needs no further ammunition than to watch his antics after the chopped on dismissal.

Dominant day for SAf ruined by the final amateur half-hour.

SA post 335 which is much less than they expected when they were cruising.
Maharaj bowled the one over before lunch.

Bannies going ok at the moment. Total rubbish the suggestion that Faf dials in pitches on request.

Kohli really looks set for a big one here on a deck more suited to his style.
India needs it too.

Half ton up for Kohli. He is a different player on flat pitches.
Morkel not bowling that impressively atm and now going for the around the wicket attack.
India certainly looking ominous here.

De Kock is good standing up; another quality catch.

Kohli continues to look like tonning up, but Rabada removes Nohit.

Reasonably balanced atm. If E-Coli goes on with the help of the tail, the Bannies may approach parity.

Seems like a flat Oz type track. No wonder ecoli is prospering. With the Panderer and a bit of batting to follow the Bannies should overtake the modest Yarp total.
This could be another engrossing Test.

Yes, most say it's best to bat on day two and three in Centurion and it is flatter than the usual track there. India will hope to get a lead and then bank on Ashwin causing SA trouble. The latter will be bemoaning the number of wickets they gave away in their first dig.
Kohli does prosper on these flat tracks so he could be in for a really big one.
Ngidi looks as if he has a future. SA pundits are very unhappy with this atypical Centurion pitch.

Treading on dangerous territory there.
Anyway Ngidi is probably important to the hosts in terms of replacing ageing pacemen. He has a strong build and will ease their 'quota' concerns.

Ton to Kohli. India could really press here and put SA under the cosh with the prospect of Ashwin to bowl on a wearing pitch.

If Kohli stays there India should get at least parity.
SA may be getting nervous now as Ashwin could be shaping as the bowler most likely on this surface.
The SA batting hasn't inspired this series as yet.
Four crucial run outs to this juncture.

Haven't been watching but have been following BbB on cricinfo and the pitch doesn't seem all that flat. Granted it's easier for batting than Newlands was but seems like a good cricket pitch.
The match seems in the balance but a SA win is still firm favourite on Betfair (almost 2-1 on). I suppose India having to bat last is a big factor.
I'm enjoying the nick you've given Ishant. I'd not clocked that before but very appropriate

Kohli finishes on 153 and India bowled out for 307 giving the hosts a narrow lead.
Morkel gets the figures.
Can Ashwin win the game for India?
