If only we could be confident that it won't actually happen.

Hall has always thought he was an individual bigger than the game through his licence to do the wrong thing with impunity. Once he was allowed to play in the 2005 GF he must have known he was a law unto himself.

Well seriously - in play! Also, his act on Staker was criminal and not punished harshly enough. He is a buffoon.
This round of footy was topsy-turvy with some of the fancied teams losing.
Blues now guaranteed the wooden spoon and yet another number one pick.

thankfully I didn't lose much ground in the tipping comp at work, even though some bozo decided to suddenly make it double points this round.

Cyril Rioli will play any future football up in Darwin, not for Hawthorn. He retires at twenty-eight.

Aahh the curse. I once read an article about necessary attributes of a great player and after everyone the comment was "except for Cyril".

Re: AFL 2018
I was at the game. This must have been the worst umpiring performance of all time ... complete ineptitude saved the umpires from accusations of systematic bias.
I dislike both these teams, almost equally ... but the umpires were even more lamentable in this case, and pretty well decided the match.

There have been plenty of times when we have been on the wrong end of umpiring, but I never resort to the umpire alibi.
They may not have been crash hot but there were poor decisions on both sides. One cannot expect free kick counts to be equal. It so happens that Essendon tend to concede the most frees in the league. Maybe it's the way they play. There were costly decisions that hurt us such as McKernan's dubious frees and JDG's non-mark.
We have a crippling injury list which was added to yesterday and I was surprised we were able to get over the line.
The most skewed umpiring I have seen this year is Eagles matches played in Perth. The crowd volume does appear to influence umpires. Yesterday the crowd featured more Dons than Pies.
