Le Tour de Pharmaceutical 2018
Still a week away but following up Lardy's suggestion to kick off a thread now.
Froome will start unbackable favorite with Porte the major challenger so long as he can stay upright.
Much talk around at the moment as to whether BMC will be around next year as they are yet to secure a sponsor. Trek-Segafredo have been in talks with Porte as they are keen to find a replacement for Contador. Plenty of other talent in that team to be picked over. I find it hard to understand why they can't find a sponsor given the strength & success they have had. Maybe its because they are an Americam team & the yanks don't want to know about cycling after the Armstrong stink.
Anyway, the opening stage will be a flat out sprint just to blow the cobwebs away. Most of the GC riders will just sit back & take in the view.

Re: Le Tour de Pharmaceutical 2018
Maybe it’s time for the US Doping Service to revive their sponsorship
Froome may well walk it (quite literally, given his escapades on Mont Ventoux a couple of years ago...) but it has to be incredibly tough to win in Italy then France - looked for a while like the former was just a case of getting into condition but then he found a way to win it. But if anyone can do it, it’s him and Team Sky, and then the calendar year Grand Slam is on (asthma drug investigation permitting).
Will be interesting to see how Yates gets on after his Italian implosion (if he starts that is, I saw one of them on the odds list anyway...)

Off camera is a Breaking Bad wannabe doing the real cook-up for the Cyclopaths.
Froome and his mates in Sky continue the art of doping. You really can't trust any of these blokes.

Yeah medical exemptions are a crock. That's if a team can even be arsed hiding behind them.

The last on wheels contest I was interested in was racing my billy cart against my mates. Even then we did not consider it to be a sport.
Cyclopathy has the credibility of pro wrestling.

At least pro wrestling doesn't take itself seriously.

Froome's apparent "banning" has stuffed up the betting markets. If you brave enough to have a crack on him (given he might not even compete) the odds are pretty generous.

I'd say opened up rather than stuffed up.

Organisers are brain dead dills. Celebrate past winners regularly, including Indurain Have the face of the race be a person who refused a drug test... but try to ban a fellow who had a bit too much of an asthma inhaler in a case that should not have become public news if process were followed.

Frogs are being frogs. Main whiner being Hinault who is protecting his own record.

http://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/latest-news/everything-you-need-to-know-about-chris-froomes-salbutamol-case-362848
It would be very difficult to get a level as high as that obtained from Froome's urine through the use of an inhaler, or even through the misuse of an inhaler.
On the other hand, it would be very easy to get levels that high through the use of oral salbutamol in the form of syrup.
Just saying.
Tainted for life.
