Lack of talent is one thing, lack of brains when it comes to dismissals reflects on the coach.
What does horrie say?
Sometimes one does not have to state the obvious.
The cbnlg may go down as even a worse appointment than Pat Howard or any other random Rasputin CA has hired.

Mercifully I have no vision of the current debacle (the partner doesn't have Foxy), so I can hide away from the Net and pretend this game never happened.

Expensive final over from NoShow but Aus somehow full this out of the fire.

If Finch is such a great captain, as the commentators would have it, how did we end up with no show as the death bowler?

everyone forgets the time that Maxwell scraped us a tie vs Pakistan by taking 2 for SFA in the final over that one time.

Every dog has his day i guess but i would have thought having a part timer bowl the last over in a tight game is fraught with danger.

true, but at least he had something to defend.

Zampa was ineffective and expensive ....by bowling out the pace bowlers they reduced SA to 9 down ....the last pair were never going to score enough of the last two overs
Conceding 11 isnt bad bowling in the context they needed 19

Aye. Not bad really for any last over.
I often wonder how Maxwell would have developed without playing 50 over and Babel type matches. When he started he was a promising offie who could also bat.
As it is, his bowling has deteriorated and his batting in first class cricket is only now belatedly maturing.
He along with the others in the jamodi side should all be playing Shield cricket and getting into some sort of form ahead of the Test series.
Hopefully Roberts kicks the tripe out of future fixturing to prevent clashes between rubbish tournaments and Shield games. Money is the only reason for the current series v the Yarps. Happily the new media deal has impacted on the $s this series will raise.

actually they've slotted in games because we're preparing for the World Cup starting May 2019.

Truth is I would rather we beat the Bannies in this series and preserve and extend our historic record than win a WC.

Sorry Nath. Now I have reached advanced age I have to focus on what is important. Slaughtering the Bannies in Tests is up there.

If they’re all fully fit, Australia’s pace attack will keep them in most games, no matter how shit their batting is.

Geez, at 3-55 the Aussies had the SAffers in trouble, but that damn Miller chap is batting well again (along with Faf).

Finch’s field placing are rubbish. Saffies are finding the gaps with ease

Crikey, Aus put to the sword by Miller and Faf.
Last Friday was clearly a false dawn.
