Geebers Whitburn ... time for a check-up from the neck-up?
Vilks is a valued decent poster here. Could I suggest you ease off a bit.

Cheers H, although it's water off a duck's back, really. It would be a bit more fun if he was more creative and original with his insults á la aditya, though.

Lankans are even more collapsable than us!
Also I would PMSL if Root gave the gloves to Buttler if Foakes' finger is too bad to carry on.

This is a cricket thread, if you have to insult people over politics then at least keep it to that one...whitburn wrote:taipan wrote:PeterCS wrote:You're entitled to your opinion, however bitter and twisted, as ever. And as abusive as usual.
Really. Which part was actually bitter and twisted? The suggestion you produced weird nicknames or the absolute nonsense that England have been collapsing since 1918.
Supply proof that anyone else uses these nicknames or that England have been collapsing for a century.
Once again you have proved you are unable to accept that anyone might dare to dispute your views.
Hear hear, he is as bad as Vikky, particularly with his inane and naive political views.

So Vikky calling one of our best players a f*ckwit and PeterCS telling Taipan that when he looks in his mirror he sees something that's coming up short with his life ISN'T insulting? Get real.
Listen If you're going to play dad or head teacher or even policeman then at least be consistent and bring everyone to book don't just support your mates.

I’ll call out people who are being c*nts, which is you on this (and most) occasions.
I’ve no problem with you supporting Brexit, that’s your view, it’s just the way you put it across to people who don’t share it.

Meanwhile back at the test, some bog ordinary batting by Sri Lanka, but you have to be on the money to accept chances when they are offered. If England score 250, the game is as good as won.

Kudos Beamer ...
Personally with my politics I think Brexit is dire for Pomgolia. For me that justifies a Caesar descendent invading and restoring/creating some semblance of civility to the barbarous Island.
But hey. that is me. I'm an old fashioned bloke.

Yeah, let’s put aside personal twattery and get back to the cricket... what a performance from Rashid, assisted by Stokes and Jennings, today.
Some say bits and pieces players, I say game changers... would you really swap too many of our players for steady 40-average batsmen?

Stokes was immense. Not many current test bowlers could get the ball up at the batsman' s throat on that pitch. And another exemplary display by Foakes as keeper.beamer wrote:Yeah, let’s put aside personal twattery and get back to the cricket... what a performance from Rashid, assisted by Stokes and Jennings, today.

Can't believe the no-ball reprieves. No excuse from his run-up.
Lanka set for defeat now with a third going down.

Foakes should bat at 6, the trouble being so should 4 others. Handy 3-0 win anyway, i'm keen on seeing which 11 walk out for the first ashes test. Heaven help the selectors.

Yeah, with one-day cricket taking centre stage, we have just three Tests in the Caribbean and one against Ireland as a warm-up before the Ashes start.
Certainties if fit - Root, Anderson, Broad, Stokes. I suspect the two openers will be given a bit of a run, despite Jennings’ struggles on (adopted) home soil. Then we have five slots to fill... from Foakes, Bairstow, Buttler, Curran, Woakes, Ali, Rashid, Leach, AN Other specialist number 3...

Don't rule out Jason Roy if either or both of the openers fall by the wayside.beamer wrote:Yeah, with one-day cricket taking centre stage, we have just three Tests in the Caribbean and one against Ireland as a warm-up before the Ashes start.

Foakes certainly has cemented his spot.
