With a lead of 339 with 4 in hand at Stumps on Day 2, shirley the Ganjas can't lose this one.

It's been a while since there was such a. monstro Pomgolians stuff up. Always fun With a bit of luck the Windies will stack on a few more runs.

Holder, Gabriel and Roach are easily quality test players.beamer wrote:No excuse for batting like that against what is basically just the equivalent of a half decent county attack though.

But they get carted to all parts on a regular basis in most test matches.

Losing by 234 runs (there's a shot in the dark) might get the team changed and some minds sorted.

Gabriel- best performances against SL, Pakistan, NZ and England.
Roach's best has often come against England. Holder has played best against Bangladesh and SL, but he improved massively last year.
They're much weaker away from home, but that's par for the course these days.

Holder is probably the best allrounder in cricket today.

Watching this there is no doubt the Englsih selectors got this horrendously wrong. Without Broad they are protecting Anderson so Stokes is being bowled into the ground. Curran is going nowhere and Root is bowling in front of the two frontline spinners.

Anderson has bowled 10 of the first 72 overs. Clearly being saved for test 2.

Excellent partnership and terrific knock from Holder.

Absolutely shameful, throwing in the towel against a couple of tailenders.
“Best all-rounder in the world”, Athers (re. Holder)? He’s no more an all-rounder than Stuart Broad. Noddy Holder himself would have made a century today. Every single one of this shower of shite needs dropping for the next Test to send out a message.
Why is it that every time we go to the Caribbean, they think they only have to turn up in order to win? We’ve had some pathetic capitulations over the years, but I can’t think of a worse single Test performance than this, taking account of the standard of the opposition.

When you load the team with a bunch of bits and pieces players, it will implode some time.

Bits and pieces is our strength though... you can’t pick “specialists” who don’t exist. Do you pick a 35-average batsman who can bowl, or one who can’t? And vice versa...
No excuses for leaving Broad out here though. Someone horribly misread the pitch.

Wickets, wickets, wickets.
I expect Bayliss has told his team if they don't make Day 5, they will each be pulling a pedalo up and down a sandy beach. There will be no swims.

Aye Beams. After 17 wickets on day 2 , there may be zero today.

Has there ever been a wicketless day of Test cricket in which both sides batted, before this?
