Yep - from the fridge to the crease...and back again if he feels like it

He'll get a run at massaging 'Cooky' and 'Trotty', 20 minutes after they arrived at the crease
Re: West Indies v England, 3rd Test, Bridgetown, 1-5 May, 2015
There is apparently talk of replacing Jordan with Rashid.

Jordan was easily the best bowler in that first innings last Test. Harsh, on your home ground especially. Doesn't look to me like he'll ever get a run in the side. Not sure how he's supposed to get any sort of rhythm if he's stop-starting all the time. Furthermore, isn't Barbados the quickest pitch they have? Sounds like a huge bag of semen to me......
Re: West Indies v England, 3rd Test, Bridgetown, 1-5 May, 2015
Surely they're not going to change the team.
Changing a winning team seems decidedly un-English. Almost as un-English as looking to score more than 3 rpo.
Plus, surely they need to give Jordan and Stokes as much test time as possible in advance of the Ashes. I also suspect that Rashid has a cat in hell's chance of playing in the Ashes (and that he's already been written off by the selectors) so if that's the case then their selections should be based upon already thinking ahead to that series.

So - no change for England. But 3 for the WI.
By the way, I see that we give out 'special' caps for reaching 25 tests. Has that always been the case? Seems to cheapen the real milestone of 100 (and maybe 50) caps.

Botham just saying on TV that Trott has it all to prove he's worth a place in the side whereas Cookie is super-awesome and a legend.
Interesting.
One bloke who got found out by short bowling in a couple of tests is deemed, in Beefy's eyes at least, to be in the last chance saloon (50+ matches - average 45 or so). The other, who has been found out in the last few series by anything that is pitched up on the offisde (100+ matches - average 45 or so, is that right?) is deemed to be brilliant.
Hmmm.

Like I said - Beefy a.k.a genius :-)
Goodbye Trott I guess?
Poor f@cker - I think the English management may have made a big error in bringing him back into the fold so quickly.

Can we have Lyth back home now, please?
I think Steve Harmison made a good comment about sending a few home to play Ireland as well.

Well that should be that for Trott's test career. Yet another top pick, chocco......

Anyway, it's always grim, tentative defence with England first up these days. Might be ok against poor teams, but the better attacks won't get bored, and England will struggle to gain any momentum.

Yep - nothing learned since the last Ashes when we started out becalmed and then got battered into submission.
We do this against Aus (again) and NZ and we will be consistently scoring <200 runs each innings.

I don't necessarily think the management erred in bringing JT back into the fold in itself, Lindsay.
However, they made a serious error in asking him to open. No end of commentators on TMS have basically said he's not an opening batsman. They're correct of course. Later, I'll come back and tell you summat you p'raps don't know .

Heehee. Cheers Growler.
I understand their desire (desperation) to get him back in the team, as he's a notional tried and trusted run scorer.
However, in each of the 3 WI tests the TV comms have basically slated his technique and said that this shuffling/walking into the ball issue is not going enable him to succeed at this level. This technical flaw reared its head in Oz - and is worryingly still there. Given that if the guys on Sky can spot that and point out it is sub-par then surely the England management/batting coaches should have been able to spot it too (either on the 'A' tour he went on or surely they could have set him up in the nets against a machine hurling balls at 90mph+ every now and then to test him out).
If they didn't do that then that's pretty crap preparation work. Or if they did still see it but allowed it to pass in the hope it wouldn't be discovered again or Trott would figure out an alternative approach in the middle then that is equally poor. But added to that if they knowingly sent a guy with prior mental health issues back into the firing line with a serious flaw then that is not just crap but surely a bit negligent, no?

Nice.
Wtf was Ballance doing there though. Was he so bored with himself that he decided he'd prefer to sit in the stands.
Or is it an indication of the fact he can't play right arm round the wicket bowling coming into him? I think Ryan Harris and Hazlewood will be trying that one out come the summer.

LB candidate.
So................................ Does Cocoa The Clown blame himself for picking Trott, or does he just blame Trott for not being a ready Test opener? Option B no doubt. Good on him.
So................................ that's three Tests wasted that could've been used blooding Adam Lyth. Lovely. Throw him to the wolves of the antipodeans. Great stuff.
Choccy needs to be gotten rid of. Moores too really, who's as culpable.
Re: West Indies v England, 3rd Test, Bridgetown, 1-5 May, 2015
That's 3 times this series the WI have had us 3 down for not a lot.
If they had one more decent bowler to throw at us we may not have escaped those perilous positions.

Option B deffo. However, does Whittakunt deserve the full blame for the Trott selection? Presumably he relies upon the advice of Ramps, Farbrace, Moores in terms of when they discuss his technical issues. I'm sure according to them 'He's crushing it in the nets'. Unless of course they're all telling him he's shot and he's over-ruling them. To me it's more the guys with eyes-on that should be the ones with a case to answer. Oh f@8k it you're right - all of them should go, why am I even trying to mount a defence for them.
