It's like baby formula.
A new way to make money by sending a much needed product back to China at a highly marked up price. Sigh.

Re: Corona Virus
Mass buying of loo paper may kickstart the economy. ScoMo policies certainly won't.
Must say though, a woman beside me in the supermarchier queue the other day said that she had heard that the whole of Melbourne will be in quarantine within two weeks.
Heard from?

The mass paranoia and poor behaviour is more disturbing than fear of the virus itself.

Which of course means that those hoarding it all are helping the spread of it.

Aye, locally I think it's tossers mass- buying , then flogging it at an exorbitant price at car boot sales and in pubs.

Markets are absolutely crapping themselves at the moment. Down nearly 15% in two weeks.

As has been observed above, mass panic is more dangerous than the virus itself.

Aust market down 7.4% today. I don't think it fell that much in a day during the GFC.

Well during the GFC, at least we had a govt. which put in measures to assist the economy. Libs are typically inert in crises or otherwise.

My reading of that article is Boris went on a fluffy tv show and the host decided to be difficult so he could get Boris in a gotcha moment
Not helpful in any way

What?? Rudd decides, while sitting on the shitter, to blow the surplus left by the Libs rates as brilliant strategy??? What would he have done with no surplus?
At least the Libs are thinking about the best strategy to apply (not in a Pinko-like state of panic). And using the surplus they created.
You Pinkos are hilarious.

He has no business even entertaining the concept of "taking the hit", for a start.

It is true that Rudd had the 'insulation' of multiple surpluses and a war chest that had been put aside after 11 years of Liberal Government ... it didn't last long, but it was there.
Morrison et al don't have that luxury after a decade and more in the red. It will be interesting to see if they can rise to the greater challenge. Hopes aren't high.

Money to go to welfare recipients and pensioners i.e; those more likely to spend it. Might help the supermarket chains out.

Yep. Although pensioners may not be around long enough to spend theirs.
