So, have any of the Aust based posters downloaded the Covid-19 tracking app yet?

Not for want of trying.  What's wrong with googling said app and hitting install just like angry birds.  All I've got so far is a lot of good feel good govt PR and no idea how to download it.  Already doubting my altruism towards the whole thing.

I'm unsure whether to DL the app or not. Most of my mates say they have or will. My partner says she won't.

I guess if it leads to you being told you've been in contact with a Covid-19 carrier it's good, but I worry about the privacy of the data.

All I know is govts and in particular Intel agencies never throw anything away ever.  Though in this particular case if any shenanigans emerge Scomo may feel like Churchill after he'd won his war.

I downloaded it. I don’t give a rats arse if the government knows where I am. Being in the most vulnerable age group it’s better to be safe than sorry.

It does make you wonder, doesn't it, all those things we learned, but subsequently never used (40+ years so far and counting).

I got lucky.  The last two years I went to a school that thought other than being able to check you weren't being bilked on a bill or how to pad one, maths was not something that should clutter a gentleman's mind.

Though I sometimes look at those " Mighty ship/buildings/bridges" type shows and do wonder how satisfying it must be to design things like that.

A fair point.

I do still use trig a fair bit (building angles and the like) but the others have no use to most people in the real world post school.

The Lady Assassin went for a drive the other day ...turned bluetooth off on her phone so she could listen to Spotify

I've rarely got my phone with me.  Signed up anyway.
