Having said that there are quite a few of their players who look well short of FC standard.

This Rees guy looks like a poor mans Steve Stubbings.

I'm all in favour of broadening the base of the F/C game - add another three counties, and you can have 3 divisions of seven.

The existing counties might throw their hands up in horror at the thought of the ECB's annual handout being diluted - but stuff 'em. They need to follow Kent and Worcestershire's example by diversifying - both counties will have hotels up and running within the next few years.

I admit, Glamorgan have been Lucky to even play a game this season with the weather, but that being said, they do not have on hand experience to fall back on as other counties do.

Three divisions of six. Two up two down. Shimples.

Merge Surrey and Middlesex, merge Yorkshire and Lancashire. You know it makes sense.

Merge Essex and Norfolk.

Merge Derbyshire and Northamptonshire.

Folk off with the Tykes, you bad man.

Glamorgan do not contribute to England. Middx developed Strauss, Shah and Morgan. Also, they are top of the Pro40 Div 2. Unfortunately that will mean that Fraser and Emburey will keep their jobs for another year.

But fair comment on Middx and Slurrey merging - they might manage to win something.

Don't forget Tony Lewis and Greg Thomas. What a world class team they made. Compare with Bosanquet, Hendren, Compton, Edrich, Gatting, Fraser and Strauss to name but six.

Regardless. I think there are many more Counties worse than us in every department.

For me it's sums up RobI though. He is OK to have a dig at Smerk two years ago but when his similarly shit team does what the initial post says, personally I'd have to hold my hands up, smile and say 'yeah fair due's' - take it on the chin.
