I see the CA Integrity Unit has now contacted Bancroft. WTF was he giving interviews anyway?? The man is brainless.

As I said, he should've just STFU. Rather than respond to a leading question he should've said "Sorry mate, that's done and dusted. I'm not going there."

He's now alienated himself from the Aus team and particularly the bowlers.

He's probably not good enough to be in the Aus Test XI anyway, but he's farked any chance he had now.

He's like The Nob Slater, he can't keep his mouth shut.

How about giving the overdue 1-year ban to the bowlers who were wrongly cleared at the time, and putting him back in the team as a reward for uncovering the truth? If they’re committed to fair play and doing the right thing going forward, that’s the right course of action. Punish the whistle-blowers and it will happen again.

FWIW, my take is that Coach Boof and Warner concocted the whole thing in front of the team. There may have been some dissenters but perhaps Captain Smith and the bowlers were not amongst them. Bancroft was a willing (and voluntary) participant, so should be last person casting aspersions upon his team-mates.

As I said, he should've just let the question go through to the keeper.

They conveniently managed the Smith and Warner bans to run out before the World Cup and Ashes...
