Re: Corona Virus
Friend lost his father in law this morning. His mother in law is in the same hospital and hasn't been informed. 65 years of a marriage, ending thus.
His wife and son handled the last rites and cremation. He himself couldn't go, because he was in another city taking care of his own parents.
A colleague lost his 25 year old daughter today. When I spoke to him, he was starting a 15 hours drive straight to take her body from the hospital.
There are reports of cremation grounds overwhelmed. Long waiting times just to go on your final journey.
Trike, come in if you can read this.

Had mine four weeks ago. Apart from a slight headache i was fine.
Re: Corona Virus
Finished COVID vaccinations (Pfizer) 3 weeks ago, and was a bit fatigued for 24 hours after the second jab, but had no other issues at all. Second jab was practically painless (some nurses can do that).
Seasonal Fluvax next, probably next couple of days.
All free. We're still a lucky country in many ways.

Re: Corona Virus
It's a pity so many Aussies are baulking at getting the AZ shot due to irrational concerns over blood clots.
The odds of getting blood clots are astronomically low, and those few that do, survive. Only one Aussie has died from alleged AZ related clots. To date 910 Aussies have died of covid i.e you are nearly 1000 times more likely to die of covid than AZ clots!!!

Yes, thanks to an issue with a quarantine hotel in Adelaide. How ironic SA was the first state to put up a hard border.

That’s an interesting post, Red.
Not logical, at all, but mildly interesting.

Re: Corona Virus
I'm getting my second jab tomorrow.
Then I'll be part of the 1.5% of Australians who have been fully vaccinated since the Feds rolled out the vaccination programme 5 months ago.
