At 3-233 the Vomits would've been hoping to get closer to the Wozzie total. Good effort by the Crab bowlers to restrict them to 306.
Advantage WA.

pretty dire when the nightwatchman scores more than most of your specialist batsmen

Well done Wozzies on a comprehensive win. They managed to survive Bog as skipper to boot. Terrific they rediscovered interest in red ball cricket.
The Shield needs all six teams playing hard credible cricket. We just need the Jellies joining the party.

who was in the vomits braintrust that didnt chase the bonus point win ?
about time the wozzies won a shield ...not our best side of the drought but better than the opposition on the day (unless it was the twozzies)

Good year for the Wozzies. Shield, ODI, and shitty t20 trophies all headed west. Happy seeing them go there if they can’t come to Tassie.
Sean Marsh can now retire with a Shield win to cap off a decent career (which promised so much more at times). Green, Mitch Marsh, and Hardie are three useful all-rounders for the State going forwards, then there’s Richardson, Agar and Cartwright on Representative fringes, and then furthermore there are four capable batsman-keepers in their line-up (Inglis, Philippe, Whiteman and Bancroft) ... so coaching over there in the last 5 years or so can’t all have been bad.

… and a reminder of the year before … the first of a potential Wozzie 3-peat. Hopefully Tasmania can stop them this time.
