Cricket relevance: I recall listening to most of the 1972 Ashes series overnight on my transistor radio. Each night at the lunch break, an interview with one of the cricketers (and their musical choices) was played. One night was Rod Marsh’s turn, and one of his selections was ‘Alexander Beetle’ by Melanie. Don’t ask me why or how I remember that, but I do!!
