Huzzah - we're now @ www.flamingbails.com
Oooh, don't we look all proper and stuff.
The url you're using at the moment (flamingbails.forumotion.com) will still work, so you don't actually have to redirect your browsers or anything.
But still - proper and stuff.

Our kind hosts were nice enough to get us our own domain name www.flamingbails.com so that's our new address.
But you can still get here via the old address.
Non-women will understand what I'm talking about.

Blimey. Nice hosts...
All a bit strange though since there is no advertising on FB at all? It's not like they're getting anything out of it is there?
Except they get to watch a bunch of mentalists waffle on in a foreign language to them....

I suppose we contribute to their traffic numbers, which they can then use to drum up more advertising (the French side of their forums - which is much bigger - still has advertising).
Who knows? I'm not complaining - they've been proper nice to us since we moved over.

Congrats on full web status JD, i.e. the name says it all, without the forumotion jive at the end. Noice work.
So how to we rate in the hosts family of forums? Are we their no. 1 trafficked forum?

I don't know. I don't like to ask - best not to draw too much attention to ourselves just incase the hosts start sniffing around...
But we're top of the tree in "other collective sports forums" https://www.forumotion.com/en/Sports-and-Hobbies/Other-collectives-sports-90.htm
That'll do for me.

Does this mean we are a distinct lifeform - like amoebas?

I find it amazing that, given that we have 150 members, we've only ever had a peak of 28 users online at the same time.

Even more funny is the fact we've had 24 new users in the past 3 months as opposed to Cricket Planets 134.
They've had 565 posts in 3 months and we've had over 50,000+
Bunch of fookin saddos

Allow multiple ids, we'll have 10 times that amount of new users in the next 3 months.

All our members pretty much came over in one thick block on day one.
Dribs and drabs since then.
I suppose we could go on a recruitment drive, but frankly, why would anyone want to come and forum here unless you were of a similar sociopathic bent as our brethren?

There are a few of the old people that I'd like to see here. Can anyone get in touch with Carpet Monster, Mo-Mo and the Rich who lives in New York?
They'd probably be my top 3 "needs".*
*people who swapped cards/pogs/stickers in their youth will get this very un-homosexual reference.

Everybody pretty much knows where we are that used to forum on C4.
All of those were on the first incarnation of FB too I think? Those that aren't here like GiP probably just want to escape the asylum...

I'm pretty sure that Mo-Mo and Rich weren't on the first FB so they have no idea about this place.

It may be a dumb question, but why do you need a .com address? Is it good for your business Henry?Henry Nolonga wrote:Nice hosts! Costs me around £9 a year for my .com address.
