This has been a low scoring series, and more interesting for it. A win defending 200 is so farking satisfying . . .
Still, I can't see our big bats staying quiet for the whole series, so let's hope for 300 next Friday.

Aye. Friday's and tonight's game was excellent...at the mid point in the 2nd innings anyone could have won the game...skully wrote:And how farkin good is it to see the occasional low-200 score being a decent and unattainable target. Fark these 400 runs-in-an-innings slogathons.

The most edge-of-the-seat one-day game I can remember was against the Windies in 92-93, when Australia successfully defended a score of not much more than 120. Not much happened in a hurry but the tension was amazing.
And then there was WA 77 v Queemsland 61 in the last summer before WSC.

Aye, which is why 2020 is pure shit going in the wrong direction.
Most 2020 games are over after 21-22 overs...

Ah so we lost? Sounds like a decent game. We're still a young aside, etc.
But, on the whole, WGAF

I could try and do a buckeroo and put up several posts back-to-nack, but I think it's better to condense a few things into one...

turning point today was dhonis dismissal. yuvraj gettin back into some sort of form. looks like its going to be a scrap for 2nd place with SL as expected.
a bit disappointed that tiwary or raina didnt get a look in place of sehwag but i guess the bowlers did the job. uthappa needs to be promoted up the order...

And I see the Aussie Eamonn Sullivan just broke the 50m freestyle WR.

as we know they are prone to toss things around...so i was distracted...any excuse to have a go ...
as for the the toss of the coin (as opposed to a particular country) good teams will find a way to win be it in jamodis or the rubbish game or tests for that matter

Trev's about as likely to get brain damage as a Bourke St tram is to get a flat tyre.

India misses golden opportunity to beat world champs in 2 successive games.
Had Dravid been there in India's middle order for this game, don't think we'd've much difficulty in chasing this measly target.

I read somewhere that Ishant bowled fastest delivery (152.6 kph) bowled by an Indian bowler when he bowled Gilly.
This guy does seem to have some potential.
