Yes something that is a legacy of the penal code set up by the English. But in reality it has no effect at all given that in Hindu mythology there are very many examples of "non standard" relationships which have been tolerated and even revered.

Manjrekar and Josh are Tendulkar's bitterest of bitter critics. So I'm not at all surprised at their reactions.

Masterly knock by Tendulkar. Several of us have waited a long time for this. Big stage, big match, batting second, under pressure, decent bowling and the champion does it in style. It is one of the best kinocks I have ever seen from Tendulkar. His knock at Sharjah had more glitz to it given his youth. But this had a mature class given the setting and what a time to deliver such an innings ! I wish the champion all the best for the remainder of his playing days.

And the way he handled/reacted after that "suspect" beam ball from Lee was also class. I was more annoyed just watching it than Tendulkar was having copped it. It also infuriated "Aussie" commentators like Lawry who termed it as unacceptable citing the great control Lee had in the previous over delivering two yorkers on the spot at will.

Brett Lee in "bowls a beamer when things aren't going his way" shock. He must do it more than any other bowler in the history of the game. It's disgraceful.
