Samuels has been charged with bookie-related misconduct

Caribbeancricket.com has broken this story. It doesn't say how serious the charge is and the implications for Samuels career, but we will have to wait and see.

Nope its a WICB internal matter and its up to them how long he's banned for.

All we know so far is that the WICB's lawyers have filed a report recommending that Samuels be charged for misconduct.

Not match-fixing, but bookie-related misconduct, which suggests that they are going to charge him for being a naive idiot and revealing minor information relating to team selection.

He was reported with bookie connections since he last toured India more than a year back.....

ICC had put in the AC unit to do some checking in India....

Yes and the Indian police passed the evidence over to the ICC who then told the WICB to conduct an investigation and punish accordingly.

As I said it doesn't seem like match-fixing or corruption and therefore I'm expecting a smaller ban of a year or so, but who knows?

Hope they investgate his runout of Lara in the WC!

Kambli has not ever been found involved with bookies.
He was just guilty of attitude, indiscipline and poor fitness is all. So Kambli was to India what Flintoff is to England.
