Isolated? Stories like this crop up every now and then.

The petitioner himself is a politician. So most likely politically motivated. But the disproportionate allocation of tickets is indeed a serious issue.

That so many politicians are part of Cricket administration is one of the root problems.

how is it misappropriation? unless they sold the money and pocketed the money in a personal capacity. world over tickets are reserved for corporates, sponsors and local clubs

seems to be a political move. though the bcci should really be reserving a lot more tickets for open sale and not for reserved sales

What they did with the extra funds is not clear. If it all went back to the association that is not too bad. If the extras were pocketed and the original costs alone was credited to the association then there is the case to answer.
